Gwen herself was still struggling with her ‘RETURN’, still struggling to recall the events of her apparent near death along with other things she had yet to tell Peter; he clearly had enough on his mind. The blonde took a deep breath in, struggling to find the right words. They seemed to escape her in the moment.   ❝  ——I’m not saying you have to FORGET it. But I’m right here, aren’t I? I’m not dead. You two used to be friends, right? Maybe he just needs some help from his friend. It wasn’t too often he went out anywhere besides just to work, the man finding more comfort in solitude than anywhere packed. There was simply just too much NOISE and he preferred the company of machines over people. But there were still times when in his apartment, he felt that need to ESCAPE from the darkness that could creep in from a past long since locked away and beckoning him back. The last thing he needed was more guilt to his conscience and SHIELD locking him in the nearest cell for essentially breaking his probabtion.

And that was how he found himself at the bar, holed away in the farthest corner and taking drink after drink. He wasn’t even paying attention to the people occupying the rest of the bar, instead focusing on the strings of data they couldn’t see. Snippets of conversations, security cameras, all brightly lit before his dark eyes and the only thing he was even REMOTELY interested in. And after several drinks in, really the only thing he could focus on anymore.

That was until a familiar face swam into otherwise blurred vision.

A half-hearted wave of his hand pushed away the strands of data that had occupied his vision once she had caught his attention and Kaito had to hold back a scoff. He man was noticeably more RELAXED than anytime he was at work. Maye it was the alcohol giving him a bit more confidence in his abilities and wiping away his normal nervous appearance he had a tendency to give off though he wasn’t exactly FOND of the idea of a potential colleague interrupting him on his time off.   ❝  If you’re here on request of our wonderful employers,  ❞  heavy sarcasm dripped from slightly slurred speech, a hand reaching up to rub at his left eye in an attempt to steady how the room seemed to move,   ❝  Then I’m really going to need you to back off. Alright, now that October has ended, I should actually have time to be here. I’m working on a new muse I want to add but after work tomorrow, I should be on to work on it more and work on memes/replies.
