Ex Libris
Livia Mateiaș, Ex Libris, UAP Romania, 2015, part of the e-story project.
“Ex libris is the label given to a book that belongs to a library, either private or public. The label “ex libris “, followed by the name of the owner, means “this book belongs to…“ Throughout time, these labels have been transformed by artists into self-contained works of art.
“e-story / The Ex-libris International Triennial” project intends to bring the classic into the contemporary by developing a new concept: ex-libris for e-books.” www.e-story.ro/eindex.html

“R.E.M.X – Rapid Eye Movement” is the title of the second edition of Media Art Festival Arad (2015). As a travelling exhibition, it is now presented at MNAC with audio-video installations, photography, object, video projections, and multimedia. Before getting bored with the White Cube and hiding in the Black Box, we jump into, feed on, debate on, empathise with, and dismantle, the permanent classic art exhibition of the museum in Arad (“R.A.M. – Random Access Memory”, Media Art Festival Arad, Ist edition, 2014). Or we seep in, settle in, play along, and open, a “REMx General Store” at the heart of the mall in Arad, its franchise being in Timişoara (October 2015). Only to return, eventually, to the museum. But not in Arad this time. (Călin Man)
