I've been through more hardships in my life than your average adult; been knocked down to my knees, and struggled to get back up, but my Daddy taught me better than that. I might be weak at times but His strength is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). I'm not smart, I'm not dumb, I'm not fake, I'm not real, I'm Chantelle and that's all I can ever be. I've learned that its great to be loved, but better to love. I may come across as a happy go lucky person who hasn't had a troublesome past and has had everything given to her. Truth is, I smile because I thank God everyday for bringing me through the rough periods of my life, and making me a stronger person. I've come to know that everything happens for a reason. Things may not always go as planned, but some things have to fall apart so something better can fall into place. I realize that I am not perfect. I'm just trying to live according to my purpose and hear "well done, my good and faithful servant" when I've ran my race (Romans 8:28, 2 Timothy 4:7, Matthew 25:21).

I can't even believe that Brielle will one day be that tall and Ylana was one day that small 😭😭😍

Because it's been awhile since I've posted about this Sunshine ❤ Ylana performed her last dance recital in May and has been roller skating ever since. She's actually been skating for a little over two years now but she has recently fallen in love with it and has a vision to join the Artistic Skating Club in November ❤ Her blossoming personality is a joyful mixture of spunk, sass, silliness, sarcasm and smarts. Some days we clash heads but I swear I love this girl more and more each day and I wouldn't change a thing about her. Her favorite word is currently disgusting 😑 and her style is becoming more and more.......... unique 😂 but she rocks it and I love it! Her favorite song is Can't Stop the Feeling, her favorite movie is Trolls and her favorite Bible story is Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (we read it every morning 😮). Mac and Cheese is her obession and we've cut out all meat, excluding Chick-fil-A and seafood, from our diet 😊

For years I lived in the muddiest, murkiest, darkest place in my life; but just like a lotus flower, from those muddy waters, beauty emerged… not once, but twice.

For years I found myself wavering amid the uncertainty of life’s storms -death, depression, suicidal thoughts… but when I placed my trust in God, He met me in my pain, He carried my burdens and He became the Anchor for my soul, remaining faithful, firm and steadfast… providing me with security, stability and hope. My God -that anchor holds.

Ylana (n. Bright Light) became the lighthouse in my storm and Brielle (n. God is my strength) reminded me that His strength is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Together, with God as our guide, we will ALWAYS rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness and radiate into the world ❤️

The Mac to my Cheese ❤️

Journey to the rink lights 😊 Brielle started crawling about two weeks ago. It was an overnight thing. She went to be scrawling and when we woke up, she was crawling to various items to pull herself up 😂 This is new for me because Ylana went from the injured soldier scoot to running 😱...but I am loving every minute of it ❤️ That fact that she's pulling her self up kinda-sorta-just-a-little-bit worries me because 'they say' the second one starts walking earlier. Well... Ylana was running at 10 months so how much earlier can you get?? 😂

While Brielle was working the stake booth last night, Ylana was on her first skate date 😂 This young man (7) came up to her, one hand in his pocket and asked her, "Would you like to skate with me?" and then gave her "that eye" with the cutest smirk 😁😁 And then!! Said, "Watch this." and sped around the rink for her 😂 ❤

I'm trying not to finish this whole bag tonight 😊

Ylana LOVES roller coasters. She cannot wait until she’s a little bit taller so she can ride the thrill rides; but I, on the other hand, am embracing the fact that she’s not tall enough for those yet because I HATE roller coasters, lol.

Last week she discovered that there is one “real” roller coaster she can ride. Granted it is a water roller coaster but those hills were still steep, lol
