Neil Gaiman on Libraries and Librarians.
Reasons I think the HP fandom should talk about Viktor Krum more:
He was an internationally famous Quidditch player but showed like zero signs of being a conceited ass about it.
He was an internationally famous Quidditch player but was still in school, showing he probably still valued his education, plus he was a good enough wizard to be chosen as the Durmstrang champion by the goblet of fire.
He was an internationally famous Quidditch player with lots of fangirls, but hung around the library for ages trying to work up the courage to ask Hermione Granger to the Yule Ball, and I think thatâs adorable.
He didnât behave like an asshole dudebro when Hermione wasnât interested in dating him.
Hermione was also used as the person he would miss the most in the second task, and I think that says less about Hermione than the people around Viktor Krum. Â We know he had parents. Â We know he had teammates. Â But none of those relationships were apparently more healthy or comforting than this nice girl he had just met at Hogwarts, and that makes me sad.
He had zero patience for Dark Arts and Dark wizards, even though he went to a school that emphasized both of those things.
He stayed on good enough terms with Fleur that he was invited to her wedding.
His problem solving method once included partially turning himself into a shark.  A shark.
Aaaand, the diaporama of them all together. My aim was to draw some of my favorite HP caracters doing something relaxing, that they enjoy. Because they have so many dangerous adventures⌠i wanted to see them having a rest.
finnick odair, who took care of an old woman in the arena, who learned how to take care of his mentally ill wife and taught peeta how to calm down using what he learned, who put himself in charge of helping peeta, who was used by the capitol for his body and refused to ever be a pawn again, who was nothing like anyone assumed, was a better character than anyone deserved tbh
Location: KANSAS CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY 14 West 10th Street Kansas City, MO 64105 I played tourist in my own city yesterday! Being born and raised in Kansas City, I canNOT believe Iâve never been to the Public Library downtown. They have 5 BEAUTIFUL floors. The top floor has a roof top terrace, and since it used to be a bank almost 100 years ago, they turned the vault in the basement into a movie theater. You actually walk through the vault!!!! How cool is that?. Iâm not even sure where Iâd begin to list all of my favorite things about the library, but Iâll start off with the parking garage. Itâs called âCommunity Bookshelfâ - It has to be THE COOLEST garage ever!!! The wall is made up of classics 25 feet tall and 9 feet wide and the stairs are books as well with the pages shown. Some of the classics included are: Romeo and Juliet, Lord of the Rings, A Tale of Two Cities, Charlotteâs Web, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Catch-22, Fahrenheit 451, and more.

@bookotter
I bought this recently and I heard so much good stuff about it
Thereâs a little boy sitting next to me on the train and heâs reading Harry Potter and the Sorcererâs Stone and heâs so attentive and heâs smiling and he canât be older than 10 and nothing makes me happier than seeing the younger generation reading.
I see you this and raise you a little old lady doing the same thing. She noticed me looking at her and she says âMy grandkids canât stop talking about this book. They said, âNana you have to read it!â Have you read it dear? It really is quite delightful!â
I love seeing the younger generation reading. I love seeing the older generations reading. And I love it when books bring us together.
This is precious <3
