Sims 4 Royal Legacy Challenge
Introduction & Disclaimer
Hi, my name is Lizzy and I have been a Sims 4 player since 2018. I wanted to create a Sims legacy challenge that tied into my personal hobby and interests, royals. We currently have only one official royal gameplay (created by MiraRae) in the game currently when I am making this challenge, so I’ve tried to create something as close to royal gameplay as possible without mods.
I also want to clarify that this challenge follows the historic events and challenges that monarchs faced in our reality. I have nothing against any person's preferred gameplay and choices. This challenge just follows a more historic structured gameplay. I would like to recommend MiraRae’s Royal Tropes & Legacy Challenge if you wanted to play something that is less structured as mine. She is an amazing sims youtuber and has her own royal family series that is currently on season 3. Please go check her out.
*Little Note: If I left out a historic storyline, don’t worry, I will be making a part 2 to this challenge later on. If you have any suggestions or changes that need to be made, please leave a comment.*
Rules:
Every Monarch must have the career of a politician and max out the Politician branch to become a National Leader.
Every Heir must start working towards this career the moment they turn into a teenager.
They must graduate from high school early.
If University is installed, the heir must go to university and get a degree in History. If university isn’t installed, the teen must work on skills required for the politician career.
They can not max the career until the current monarch dies.
The royal family must have certain levels of fame from Get Famous.
The Monarch must be a global superstar.
The Consort can either be a global superstar or proper celebrity.
The Heir must be a global superstar before they can become the next monarch.
The other children can either be global superstars or proper celebrities.
You can freeze the royal family's fame.
Every Monarch must write motivational books as a form of executing taxes.
They can only publish the books.
They can not self-publish or publish to Literary Digest.
You can create copies of these books to have in your Monarchs library to help keep track of which taxes are enacted.
If Eco-Lifestyle is installed, the monarch can create decrees with the Neighborhood Action Plans.
Each monarch can either create, keep, or repeal these action plans.
The royal family must live on either a 64x64, 50x50, or 50x40 lots.
They must have the family crypt somewhere on the lot.
Either above ground or below ground.
If Life & Death is installed, players can use the crypt object.
Players must make a painting portrait of each Monarch.
Each portrait is made when a new monarch comes to the throne.
The portrait must be made by either the Butler or Maid in your household.
The old monarch's portrait is taken down after they die.
The player can do whatever they wish with the old monarch's portrait.
The royal household must always have a Butler and/or Maid.
Players can also hire an additional Butler, Maid, Gardener, and Ranch hand to help.
The Butler and/or Maid traits & aspiration: (must always be an elder)
Neat
Wise (Maker if sim is a maid)
Perfectionish
Master Chef
The Butler and/or Maid can only develop these skills:
Cooking/Gourmet Cooking
Baking

No money cheats allowed except at the beginning to place your first generation using: freerealestate on.
Players must place the money vault from Get Famous somewhere on the lot.
The goal amount of funds each generation must have must be placed in this vault.
It will act as the royal treasury, separate from the royal household funds.
Only the current monarch can access the vault.
Every generation is to complete their tasks assigned.
If the generation heir dies before completing these, the challenge is over.
Lifespan must be normal.
Players can turn off aging for short periods of time, but aging must be on the majority of the time. (Example: when the heir is at university)
If Life & Death is installed…
Monarchs must have a will and funeral plans.
Monarchs must donate at least 20% of household funds to charity.
If the monarch dies and there is no surviving spouse, the dependents must be sent to live with a related noble’s household.
The Heir (new monarch) needs to focus on their own household and not their parents.
Some monarchs are tasked with creating kingdom wide holidays.
There are no restrictions or limits on reward traits.
Tips:
Any royal marrying outside of the family creates a new noble household.
For example, the spare marries a townie sim. They move out and create a noble household.
Any spares are free to have any trait or aspiration or careers, unless specified otherwise.
(They are the spare.)
If the player wants to start a second kingdom in the same save, the kingdom must start at the First Generation rules.
Monarch, Consorts, Heirs, and Spares can donate money to charities.
(I would suggest doing this, this action raises the royal families favorability.)
The Royal Families reputation is how their people view them and their favorability.
If Get Together is installed, the monarch can create a club with them and titled nobles.
Once the heir is a teenager, they are added to this club.
If Life & Death is installed, the money vault can be made into an heirloom and set to be given to the heir of the next generation.
Players can create a founding noble family along with their first generation royal family.
Can only create one noble family.
They must be related to the monarch or their spouse.
To add a little fun and make each birth of a royal baby special, players can have fireworks set off as a celebration and announcement of the royal birth.
This can be done for some or all generations. It can also be done for all children, only males born, or just the heir.
Any noble families within the save that are created may also have fame levels.
You can set these yourself, though they can be no higher than B-listers.
The fame level can be frozen.
For the founding family’s fame, you can set their fame by shift clicking the sim and setting their fame level.
The “celebrity tile” that is given to global superstars can only be utilized by the Monarchs. If you want you, you can inscribe them and have them placed in Del Sol Valley. If you are not going to use them, you can sell them off.
For setting up arranged marriages, you can either use a townie or from a noble family the same age of the royal child. It is on the child to try to maintain a relationship if they want. I suggest setting it up like a club if you have Get Together. If not, you can introduce the two children.

Why did they have to be annoying? That’s when you started seeing other girls.
