The trip of East Eye Mountain
Although scarcely sleeping last night, I still have full energy to walk all the way along to the hill top. I don't like people blocking in front of me or waiting for the ones who are behind me. I'm walking like there's no one but me in the mountains. So I reach the observatory and enjoy the view myself. Taking pictures from the different directions. The camera, however, is unable to capture the true beautiful of the views. The sunshine is shining through the leaves of the trees and fading away every now and then while I'm hiking in the forests.
There were some magic moments that we created together. I just couldn't help but start a topic as "who is Nakamura Hiroichi" as seeing him walking alone ahead of me. He told me almost the Japanese he'd met in west Japan all over again. This is the object that we can connect with each other anytime. In the afternoon, I asked him a question about the management. "Is it appropriate to let a person who doesn't have the experience of management to tanslate a book of management?" He answered me with his expertise and asked me what the meaning of "agreement"? Though giving the right answer, he taught me the right usage in the management. He also gave a few examples to explain his thinking, which sounded so interesting to me. The hiking course was cut short due to some reason. I decided to finish the hiking myself as one of us got the call and told the fact in the middle of the route. I told them not worring about me becasue there's only one way to go and come. I would call them as soon as arriving the entrance of the route. Wondering how far it was, I went in a rush way. There were not many hikers along the way. I was so rushing that I missed the top spot. I spotted it after walking back to a spot where it didn't look like a destination. I reached the goal anyway. Kristen was waiting for me at the place we had parted. So I met her and we went together. However, we misread the sign so we needed to come out from another route, which seemed farther than the way we had come. But I didn't mind at all. I found it magic of which Micah was driving his car to pick us up as we got through the entrance. He asked one of us sitting beside him. I jumped in the car and sat in the front seat. Wow, how could this happen? I mean I thought it's a pity that I couldn't be grouped in his car. And now I was sitting right beside him. He asked me about the car sick. I said it felt comfortable if the car was running slowly. He shared that once he suffered a severe vomit in a bus on the way to Ai Li mountain due to the slow driving. We asked if I had climbed a mountain of sever stars mountain chain. I said no. I should have told him I hadn't gone because I didn't have a car. The trip to the inn was very pleasant, I even forgot the one who sat behind us. Later after dinner meal. He walked to me and questioned me about English. "Couldn't be better!" was not the answer he wanted. So I added "Marvelous, splendor, terrific, incridible". He pick up some, too. Then he asked me if I had seen an English drama called "Mr. Spell(or something like that)". I said I was too liitle to know it. OLO!
When the night fell, I went to veranda of the second floor and saw him talking with a stranger. As much as I wanted to talk to him, I sat on the other side and enjoyed the view of the night for a while. There seemed nothing I could do so I went to take a shower and came down to the place again. Everybody was there. I took a seat beside Steve and started to chat with him about the music minstry of the assembly. He was sitting in front of me without saying a word, looking tired and stretching his legs in a chair. We talked and talked until the time was up. Eash time I was always able to get some decent answers to my questions from Steve.
I was falling asleep not before lying in bed. This was the first time in a year that I could seemingly sleep well during the night away from home.
I woke up at 5:30 and took a quick wash to get ready for the morning bible study. I was walking around the inn and shot some pictures of the scenery. Micah came while I was about to shoot the full screen of the mountains. He sat on the left side of the varenda and read. I took "parenting" and read as well. Not all of us joined the study this morning. And there's a weird atmosphere among us. I didn't know if I could utter something that fit the theme until my name was singled out. It's hard to believe but I was led by the Holy Spirit and said the words I even hadn't had in mind. The breakfast was a disappointment. All I could eat was scrumble eggs and vegetables because there's no bread, not even a slice of toast. There's no time like this time that I needed a piece of bread so desparately. I especially missed the delicious sandwiches I made at home. Steve showed me a notebook with drawings and funny messages. I laughed so loud and asked if he put those words on it this morning? I also asked him about the same question that I had asked Micah yesterday. Plus, the real question I was going to ask today.
We, Micah, Steve and I, were having good conversations during the walking. I even sat in front of him in the restaurant and discussed a lot of things with him. I told almost every thing I had in mind except the secret I kept. He responded many things I never knew. A pretty young woman with a boy suddenly called him teacher. Afterwards, he told me how he easily ran into his students elsewhere. How could we be doing it without the leading of the Holy Spirit? I talked as if it's the last time I could be with him and was so pleased with the result. I didn't care what date today was and already knew. The time we spends together counts. Thank God for giving the opportunities, which I've never though I could have, to share thoughts with each other these two days.
I was walking faster and longer than yesterday even the left foot was hurting for the first time of my life. Did the legendary the knees problem happen to me. Was it the day of the end and begin of the era? God please let me know it's a temporary not a permanent hurt. There are hundred mountains I want to conquer. Have mercy on me Lord!
Joyce gave a guess and knew the answer and suggested making a confession. It's me who revealed the secret on FB. Now I can't keep people from knowing it. I truly regretted what I've I done. It really doesn't matter if he knows what I think or we have any result of it. Because the things are up and down, come and go no matter good or bad. Let God make the decision. I'm too tired to do it on my own.
