Tiga - Bugatti (CRFT Remix)

So I stumbled upon this new remix from CRFT. This 21 year old upcoming producer, coming from London, England loves his electronic music. If you haven't heard Tiga's new track 'Bugatti' then you should by listening underneath, then listen to CRFT's remix after that. You'll be surprised. 

CRFT really has made 'Bugatti' his own by adding in a lot of his influences from his previous productions. Tiga's track is a brilliant piece of synth-influenced techno, with unforgettable adlibs and an unforgettable robotic-esque synth. CRFT explained to us how he created his iconic synth that you hear through the second half of his remix, and also in his track Idol.

"I love pads, I really do. But sometimes they can be a bit too long and when you want atmosphere in such a short space of time, they need to be manipulated. So I sampled a pad on Ableton using the Sampler tool, cut it down so when I played a key it would play half way through the selected key at it's maximum volume. Then it was just a matter of finding the right chord progression and that's it really! Oh and a little bit of reverb. B***hes love reverb."

Dusky - Rise For Love

Remember 'Careless' by Dusky? I sure do. I remember when the EP came out and everyone was on it like Nando's only buying the track 'Careless'. Not many seemed to pay attention to the other tracks on the EP (I've come to this conclusion by comparing YouTube view counts).  'Rise For Love' for me really does stand out on this EP. Yes 'Careless' was your typical house banger that got everyone in the club moving, however the second track on the EP is one that should be considered.  It's my weapon of choice for when I play out, purely because I can use it in Tech House and Techno sets. Here's a little something I thought I'd share. A little gem I always play now and then and one which has very little recognition. Nina Kraviz played this in her Essential Mix back in 2012 and my god it has that sensual vibe to it.  This is deep house music at its best. This is where it started.

Franky Rizardo - Touch My Soul

Franky Rizardo has been in the game for a few years now and I'll be honest, I haven't been keeping tabs on his releases for a while. However I did a little search to see what he's been up to and this new EP of his from Off Recordings dropped earlier this week. A New Recreation sees Franky Rizardo display some brilliant Deep and Tech House sounds but I have to put my finger on 'Touch My Soul' as my favourite from this release. Andre Lodemann - Coming Your Way

On the way home I was listening to Vincenzo's Anjunadeep Edition Podcast which you can catch here, I highly recommend subscribing to it on iTunes. Towards the end of his mix, this track played and I literally had to pull over to Shazam it. Turns out it's this amazing record from Defected Records that got released a few months ago. Andre Lodemann brings back traditional house grooves like no other in his track 'Coming Your Way'. I found myself flexing and cutting shapes on the M25! Go on and give it a listen. Here's another beauty that popped up on my SoundCloud stream that I just had to share. I'm a massive fan of Tycho after discovering his music a few months back. The American producer whose music gives that ambient vibe is currently on tour and is coming to the UK soon and I plan to go and see him in Camden. Com Truise has put his special touch on Tycho's 'Awake' giving it that 80s atmosphere that everyone knows him for. His remix has been given mixed reviews from diehard Tycho fans but I absolutely love it! Have a listen here!

Eric Prydz - Liberate (Lane 8 Remix)

What better way to kickstart the blogroll with this remix from Lane 8. This preview was released on the 24th June and is due for release on the 27th July in the UK.  Lane 8 is definitely a producer on many DJs' radars and his popularity is growing rapidly on the scene. His track 'The One' sparked sensation and his remix of Above & Beyond's new track 'Sticky Fingers' has also further gained him recognition. Plugging into the big room house scene with this remix sure is a brilliant move by Lane 8 and I have to say, this remix is phenomenal. New name, same person.

I've been quiet from the interwebs for a good year now and I've missed the blogging community so much. Many people have asked me why I didn't blog and write about music anymore and the only reason I could give was "I don't know. I just didn't have time for it." Writing I'll admit has been the bane of my life at times. There will be a time where I would get sent a record to write about/promote and I'm sat there staring at my Mac at three in the morning thinking, "what the hell can I say about this? It sounds half done." No word of a lie this has happened plenty a time, mostly when I've got work early the next day.   I guess I wasn't looking hard enough for music. I let my day job get the better of me and in a way mindfuck me, false promises and that, we've all been there. But in the past few months - well actually this year 2014 even - that has changed dramatically. So much new music has come out, music that can make anyone, man and woman, come a mile to the resonating bass that comes out of club sound systems these days. My new workplace is allowing me to open up my mind and make a change for the greater good and to have that support backing you at all times really does make you feel positive about yourself and life in general, seriously. Getting more involved with my best bud/brother from another mother Alex Kella (love you Al x) has also dramatically influenced me to get back into writing. After every set of his, I find myself looking at the tracks he plays so I can find them myself to listen to on Spotify on the way to work in my car. Me and him always talk about tracks and I feel that our conversations should be shared in written form, along with my own thoughts. Producing music has also opened me up to a whole new world of technicalities that I never knew before, releasing that new found knowledge I never had as a teenage blogger. I guess this is me growing up, so I thought I'd bring a new refreshed look. Last Night Changed It All is set to pick up from where I left with One Twenty Mag, looking at music from the electronic spectrum. There will always be something for everyone here - I won't go listing every single genre, categorising sucks but you get the idea when I say electronic music. I won't take the hipster look at things and always post music that nobody has ever heard of before because 50% of the time, there's a reason why nobody has ever heard of said music, (because it's the shit that gets filtered through inboxes until someone finds the courage to feature it).  Keep locked in.  - lastnightchangeditall
