My name is Moxe(she/her) and my main is @halfling-myth-lady (yes I’m a soul Stan on main) where I talk about pokemon,Digimon,Danganronpa all that stuff but this is dedicated to lore Olympus,more specifically discussing its many many flaws.
At its core I do think that lore Olympus can be good,but it just fumbles the ball,the ball being a bowling ball and the floor being just stable enough to reliably withstand the ball,though progressively getting weaker and weaker until it breaks and falls on top of someone’s head.
I decided to make this blog because it was this or a five hour long video but then I realized I’d have to make sprites for that and have to learn how to draw hands.
Anyways,if you couldn’t realize who my fave is,it’s Thanatos.i am not hiding it.
In the end,my biggest gripe with any media is the lost potential,and I just want people to learn from lo’s mistakes and make better stories.
I'd like to remind everybody that this isn't just about A03 or civil rights organizations. This could be applied to any 501 organization. That includes churches, schools, museums and library support organizations. All sorts of support organizations like soup kitchens or places like goodwill. Those are all non-profit organizations and they all have a 501 status. This is a threat to every civil organization we have that is meant to help the public.
So please contact your representatives. Please look this up on Twitter and click the link so you can call your representatives and voice against this. Because there's a hell of a lot more at stake with a bill like this than just ao3. People's lives could be at risk.
The House will vote THIS WEEK to determine whether the incoming Trump administration will have the power to shut down non-profit organizations with no due process.
Congress has already tried to fast-track this legislation once and failed because of the onslaught of calls to their offices. We can’t let them do this quietly. Congress giving Trump the power to crush dissent and target organizations fighting for justice is a betrayal. Tell your representatives to vote NO on this dangerous bill!

Meet Stirit,the Marigold pokemon!
I’ve actually drawn her before, but this one is by far my favorite version of her design…apart from the fact she has no neck I’ll need to add that in the final version.
As you can tell,I don’t actually mind humanoid pokemon.i dunno might be the Digimon fan in me but more anthro pokemon don’t tend to give me the same “ick” it gives other,hence why stirit(and one of the other starters) aren’t shaped like animals.its also easier to draw.
Her design inspiration is-as you might have guessed already-are marigolds and día de muertos.
Unlike the other final designs I’ve shared, Stirit doesn’t hold much of a roll symbolically, as she’s-y’know-a starter who isn’t always picked.

These are little drawings of Persephone and Hades about a couple of years before Lore Olympus started and were part of a comic she was sketching at the time.
I don’t believe she ever made the comic these iterations of PxH were a part of outside of comic thumbnail sketches (which I have in my archives that I will post soon).

Camputee(?) and the ‘ettes
Meet Catergrieve and Marimourn!based on mourning cloak butterflies and their caterpillars.
This line-much like the ‘ettes-are very over all symbolically important.
I won’t rat out why(that, my dear, would be spoilers) but just know to keep in mind whenever it appears around a character~
The line is also in what I would call “the butter friends” which consist of it and two other pokemon.
Also:no, I am not sorry for that special attack stat.

Catergrieve:
“This Pokémon is known for mourning, appearing unannounced at funerals or laying on a dead body to simply…stare at it.
It cries sometimes, but never keeps its stare off the dead,never letting the casket or corpse to be huddled away elsewhere without it following.
It’s become quite infamous, as it’s fondness for the dead leaves multiple of them residing in hospitals or funeral houses.
There’s actually a saying about this Pokémon:”stay out of the Catergrieve’s stare”, being another way to effectively say “stay safe” or “don’t die”.”
Marimourn:
“These pokemon are notorious for being elusive, mysterious, and hard to spot. Despite this,they seem to choose a few people to hang around with, myself seemingly included nowadays.
Once it seemingly gains fondness for a human,it will follow them around, simply staring at them unless they get shooed away or see another person to stare at.
Despite it often coming to see people,they are rarely noticed or seen by humans. Some say it’s because they control the shadows around them to make them go unnoticed, other claim it to simply be their lightness and agility.
One place they are always found, however, is Lower Tamarindo. It is said it takes solace in the ghost of those who’ve went missing there.
I’d say it’s because of the disgusting smelling car fumes clearing out the sun, but I suppose that’s a bias opinion of mine.”
So guess who has some fakemon to show,huh?(also sorry for my bad handwriting)

Meet Cloakette, Showette, and Shunette!
They don’t have too complicated of origins, simply a thematic purpose in the region, not telling you what it is yet tho.(or you may guess on your own,who knows)
These are probably some of the favorite Pokémon I’ve thought of for this region-and yes there’s more-mostly just because of what they represent lol.

Cloakette:
“It seems to have an odd dissonance when interacting with humans or other Pokémon.it can never seem to understand what other mean or whether they’re joking or not, along with a seeming inability to read others emotions.this leaves it coming off as Apathetic and means it is very unpopular amongst children.
This social instability seems to have left most of them feeling safer alone, ignoring other pokemon despite deep down yearning for company.
It’s quite sad, really. my son owns one of these and once it gets to know someone’s emotions well enough, it’s one of the most Empathetic Pokémon ever seen.”
Showette:
“It seems like this Pokémon has somewhat opened itself up, making friends with pokemon and humans alike, looking for people who it can come to understand.
Despite still being unable to read other too well it still attempts to make friends wherever it goes, sticking with whatever person or Pokémon it has should they click well enough.
In recent years,this Pokémon has become a popular pokemon for children with special needs and mental disorders, with it using its Empathy to connect to those children and act as a friend to them.”
Shunette:
“This Pokémon seems to have closed itself off from everyone and everything other than itself.
It’s Apathy means it has become detached from the world around it, causing it to not be affected by anything that doesn’t directly address it.
It’s barely seen actively interacting with other pokemon or even its trainers, simply ignoring them or moving away.
While there have been one or two reports every half a decade or so of a Shunette who opens up to its trainer, however, those are few and far between and seem to only pop up after years of bonding and love, something most trainers with this Pokémon seem to be alluded by”
