They are courtesans, veiled dancers to sultans and kings, illuminating decadence with the precision of their hips. Or they are princesses of the East, the finest beauties of their people, trailing riches wherever they step. Or they are sorceresses from beyond the farthest mountains who cast the spells of their craft with flying skirts and a quirk of ruby lips. Though their origins may be shrouded in mystery, one thing is certain: when Les Odalisques step out of the airship and onto the stages of the West, nothing will ever be the same again.

Hey all. 

Today (Friday, 2/3), Bandcamp will be donating 100% of its share of proceeds to the ACLU to show support for immigrants and refugees. 

I have a bandcamp where you can download some of my Lord of the Ring music: they have been and will always be available as free downloads with the option to pay if you wish.

But- for the entire month of February,  I will be donating 100% of my bandcamp proceeds as well. Plus! If I reach more than $30 this weekend, I will release a new Tolkien song by the end of next week! 

These past weeks have felt like an unrelenting assault against so many people and so many dearly held ideals. In response, I want to use this platform, small as it might be, to push back as I can and to support refugees and immigrants, especially Muslims, and those from the countries affected by this ludicrous, hateful ban. 

I encourage everyone to protest, volunteer, and donate if and where you can, to write and call your reps, and to take care of yourselves and each other, especially your fellow humans whose rights and safety are coming under attack these days.
