For everyone who is not familiar with Kratom, I suggest to do your research and stock up on it. You can find it in most smoke shops or online. Kratom is a finely ground leaf from Asia and is very potent, high in antioxidants and antiviral properties. It's the best supplement you can take now to fight against the coronavirus. There is no cure or vaccines yet, but I think this really helps.
Any questions feel free to dm me.
Gingerbread Kratom Tea with sweet cream.
Ok, so that’s a long dumb name. (You guys should help me come up with a better one!) So I’ve been experimenting with creating different types of beverages with kratom.
[If you’re not familiar with kratom, it is a relative of the coffee plant. Its leaves have several medicinal properties, some of which include treating chronic nerve pain, combating chronic fatigue, lessening opiate withdrawal symptoms, and so many more. If you are a fibromyalgia sufferer like me I highly recommend it. It has made a fast improvement in my quality of life]
Here is one of my favourite recipes so far:
Ingredients:
Dried holy basil (tulsi)
Dried Star Anise
Powdered Kratom
Sweet Cream or preferred coffee / tea creamer and sugar
Cinnamon and nutmeg (optional)
Brew a tea of holy basil and star anise. Only use a little star anise, it is generally potent. It may take a few different brews to find the ratio that works for you. Steep for 10-20 minutes to make a strong infusion.
In a mug put your dose of kratom powder (dosage will depend on desired effects and quality of herb. Please research before you use kratom to find the dosage for you).
Pour strained tea over kratom and stir. Let brew for minimum 5 minutes. Add sweet cream and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Garnish with cinammok stick optional.
I’m not kidding, this tastes like gingerbread latte (if you’re used to the taste of kratom).

Back in 2013 I had a hemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary. If you’ve ever had a hemorrhagic cyst, you know how painful it is. I remember getting dilaudid, percocet, and morphine while in the hospital and I’m not sure how much those drugs all helped. The pain was so severe that walking around was painful, even when I had the Percocet they gave me when I left. I remember not being able to make it to class by walking across campus, while on Percocet. That’s how bad it was. Occasionally, my ovary still hurts, but I think it was sometime last winter that the pain was so severe, I was almost sure I’d have to go to the ER, like I did years ago. I have known about Mitragyna speciosa for about 6 months now. I tried it for the first time this month. Initially, I didn’t think it would do anything for me, so I only bought $14 worth, two 25-gram packages (plus the site I purchased from threw in a free extra 25-gram package for my first order). I knew it was going to taste bad after talking about it with the person who brought it to my attention, but it works. It actually works. My impetus for finally buying some was the pain I experience each month. Sometimes it’s so bad, and many areas of my body are affected. I was finally ready to try something other than Tylenol and Motrin. I’m glad that I gave kratom a chance.
There’s definitely some credibility to naturopathic medicine. Plants are where many medicines started. This would be a great thing to look deeper into and test in people with chronic pain. There’s a whole online community dedicated to kratom, people who deal with chronic pain or have kicked opiate addictions thanks to this plant. I don’t know why there isn’t more research being done on Mitragyna speciosa in relation to pain management. I don’t understand why it’s somehow so frowned upon to try something non-opioid to manage one’s pain. Given the epidemic going on, I’d think the FDA would be more interested in looking at things that aren’t addictive that are actually helping people right now.
Cookie Monster Smoothie Bowl
Hey all, I hope you are able to mentally, physically, socially, and FINANCIALLY cope during this time. Wishing you all good vibes and abundant blessings.
Spring is here and I am back to making smoothie bowls as my body craves cold treats. I fond some MadeGood chocolate chip cookies. They are really good and the ingredients include vegetable powers. Nice touch! I wanted cookies and a smoothie bowl, so why not have both.
I blended frozen bananas, a splash of almond milk, CBD oil, and blue spirulina powder.
I topped the smoothie bowl with granola, coconut flakes, chocolate chips, and MadeGood cookies. Delicious!
