raritwishy lounging
forgot to post this during raritwi week. i kept adding to it afterwards anyway. that's how this whole piece came together.
i was messing with the perspective tool to make a room. once it was done, the room wanted a couch. piece by piece i kept thinking, “okay, this is done now.” and piece by piece it kept asking for more.
this is often how my art works. i (mostly) don't control it—it controls me. i open a file to scribble a little doodle and accidentally a picture happens.
Artfight attack on lofty-does-art!! This cutie kobold is Brook :3 I love doing this kinda simple animation and I wish I could do more of it but it just takes a bit too much time for most projects
i absolutely adore this animation willoillo made of my brook. you should check out her other art too she's so good.
lofty
have i mentioned that i use cats for pose references? this looks like i used a cat pose reference. probably a show reference too.
my first ponysona. not my first art of them. that was probably from general zoi's pony creator or pony town.
i like ponies sleeping on clouds because i can't. i want them to enjoy the things that make them special.
games
art fight attack on gameslotel. games looked so joyful i had to draw them.
completed trans palette art sheet
here's my completed trans palette art sheet. a few things didn't get separate posts—warmup sketches and doodles.
select tool
art fight attack on just-in-jest. reversed her fill pattern.
greznedge
don't give me spoilers! i haven't finished watching it. but here's some greznedge based on fan art i've seen. she's adorable.
kobold scroll
a kobold offering for you. you can open the scroll to see what it says

completed sketch sheet
in retrospect, this was bigger than it needed to be. i keep adjusting how i make my art sheets. will it ever stop? will i ever be satisfied with the ultimate hyper mega sheet layout that shames all the rest while optimizing learning potential? no. i will be adjusting things for as long as i make art.
lots of stuff here i haven't put in other posts, like the dullahan in the rightmost column. in today's world, would a dullahan still ride a horse? or would they drive? take a bus? ride the subway? bicycle built for two?
rosiel
art fight attack on pony artist brainiac. according to brainiac, he is “an older and wiser angel of a higher tier that was tasked with painting the sky.”
humanoids
goblin on the left. not sure about the right. maybe they're the same character with different designs. i'll figure that out if I return to them.
a low 'ling staring at fireflies in a jar
i often used perlin noise for texture/effects when inkscape was my primary tool. i liked this because the noise was an object i could tweak and adjust as i continued developing an image. i can't do that in ibis (that i've found)—once it rasterizes the noise, i have to redo the noise generation completely if i want to adjust the parameters.
so i looked at what tools i did have have access to adjust indefinitely in ibis to get the final composition right. i clearly had fun with layer blending when i made this. years later it's still my favorite effects i've made with ibis. i should use more fancy layer compositions. i've been focused on learning other new things—like how to draw a pony (changeling) that looks more like i want it to.
i posted this pony town changeling oc last week. i haven't made new art of it in ages. i guess it represented that i didn't know what i wanted my sona to be. i still don't—and i can replace my profile pics often if i'm actively making art.
humans (probably)
i love seeing my friends rough sketches. doodles. things they make to pass the time, to practice. things they make because their muse demands they draw and they have to put something on the page, even if it will never be more than a rough sketch on the corner of a napkin.
if i want them to post their sketches, i need to post my own.
i have this big practice sheet. 64 cells. not every cell is worth pulling out to post as its own image. I found these people interesting. the first one is sassing me for not coloring, shading, and adding backgrounds. the red girl is shy about meeting you all. the lady against yellow moves silently and startles people.
ponies and people and pwca oh my
first, the humanoids. this guy on the left is a troll or maybe a pwca. the ladies on the right stand in silent judgment.
next, the ponies. rarity, twilight—yes she's a pony as you can clearly see in her shadow but her current shape is a surprise to both her and rarity. the ponies in the sketch have enlisted the aid of giants in an endeavor (or perhaps it's the other way around).
calypso
artfight attack on @fizpup
calypso's design and palette are great, and i always love when artists give their unicorns traditional features (cloven hooves, tufted tail). alternative version with uncloven hooves below the cut.
