Keeping her drinking to a minimum level of barely above tipsy Cassie avoided suffering a hangover after the week full of drinking that was Monster Jam. That meant she didn’t need to spend any time recovering and could be right back out. She was on her way to the cafe to pick up a latte when Lola called out. “Oh, of course.” There was never any hesitation or chance that Cassie would’ve kept walking without helping. “Too bad we don’t have more arms, right?” She teased, picking up the box of tools. “Do you want help carrying this somewhere? I don’t want it to fall on you again.”
Lola offered the woman a light, appreciative smile as she stopped to pick up the tools that had fallen from her grasp. “Thanks.” She said, shifting everything in her arms to steady her grip. “Yeah, I could use another set about now. I see why the cashier gave me the look she did when I refused the bag she offered.” The brunette admitted, soft sigh of defeat leaving her lips. “Um..” She began, debating on whether or not she really wanted the help. She led a pretty solitary life in town, only venturing out when she needed to and spending most of her time with Jett and the dogs, but as she shifted the weight of the things in her arms once more, Lola realized that whether or not she wanted it, she needed the help. “Yeah, that’d be great, actually. I’m just going home, it’s only a couple of blocks down that way.” She motioned with her head the direction she intended on heading before she began to walk. “Thanks again for the help.”
