I have come to a strange crossroads in my fandom journey. 40k has consumed me for quite a while (and warhammer as a whole, literal decades)

So this blog has sort of come to reflect that. It was never supposed to be a 40k blog, it became that because I’m normal about 40k.

Other interests pop up here and there, but I consume them too intensely and get bored after a week or two. And I move on.

So when I picked up Forgotten Realms/D&D/Drizzt/Drow again I expected it to fizzle out pretty quickly. So I created a little sideblog so I could get that bug out of my system and just ride that wave as long as it lasted. Reblogging stuff relentlessly, having some casual brainrot. But Im not sure if I want it to go away, and now I sit here with two(well more than that but two I use a lot) blogs that I keep forgetting to switch between and it is all becoming so very confusing.

I think its time for my little spooder blog to assimilate into the main Mirdan account. And you guys will just have to live with me relentlessly reblogging sexy pictures of Drow (just pretend they are Mandrakes i dunno)

Im sorry, we just spent the entire chapter explaining that Ilnezhara prefers gold and Tazmikella prefers silver. And because Ilnezhara likes gold (and gold vibing things) so much she wants to fuck Jarlaxle.

Entreri: “I prefer gold”.

I can just imagine Entreri dressing up as a paladin for a job and all the hilarious scenes that would follow 😅

So I started playing BG3

Friend:”Ohh, what companions are you picking?”

Me:” I'm only going to pick males since I play a male drow. I didn't crawl all the way to the surface to be bossed around by women.”

Friend:”You literally have Shadowheart and Lae’zel in your party?!”

Me:”Iblith doesnt count.”

*finding Minthara 20min later*

Me:” Yes, mistress, I will slaughter all the innocents for your pleasure. Step on me mommy”

I started playing BG3 as a drow rouge. The plan was to make him a Bregan Daerthe aspirant and just have fun with it.

The first two fucking things I find are an enchanted rapier and a floppy hat.

At first, I considered finding a way to change the hair and pretend I'm Jarlaxle, but the more I thought about it, the funnier it is being a Jarlaxle-wannabe.

I'm out here pretending to be one of the most dangerously wealthy and well-equipped drow in the world, but all I got is 40 gold and a dream. Gods, I wish I had boosted my persuasion even more. All I do in this fucking game is lie and steal, it's great.

Entreri after hearing that Drizzt hooked up with Catti-Brie.

Entreri: “You put your dick in that thing?! You crazy bastard.”

Drizzt:”You are literally fucking Jarlaxle.”

Entreri:”Not the same thing.”

Drizzt:”Pretty sure its worse...”

*Entreri violently shakes his head*

Im just trying to clear some things up before I continue reading the Drizzt series. Spoilers? Below.

If im understanding fandom correct the series is about an assasin (Artemis Entreri) who takes one look upon this dark elf (Drizzt Do’Urden) and falls so much in love he spends most of his life trying to fight him. He is so confused sexually, he gets a magical heartshaped locket of Drizzt that he can literally stalk him with, fucks his girlfriend just to be one step closer to Drizzt carnally, kills him (ish), saves his life? Gets his ass saved by Drizzt? And then later pretty much gets married to Drizzt dads old boyfrend but they split up becase dad’s old boyfriend’s sister disaproves.

And despite Drizzt being an overpowered Mary Stu, the authors self insert character is Entreri.

Im just making sure I got that correctly?

Im fucking struggling with shipping Jarlaxle/Entreri.

One part of me want them to live happily ever after and ride into the sunset together.

Another other part of me loves the mutual pining. Thry are absolutely madly in love with each other, but dont want to act on it because they are afraid it will make them vulnerable.

A third wants them to be toxic af and just hurt each other over and over again because the both of them are so fundamentally broken as people and they are co-dependent as fuck.

All options would be so tasty to write fic about.

Vierna :”Why?”

Drizzt:” Zaknafein says they are all high class male escorts, and I love tracking stuff and finding paths.”

Vietna: “Oh, baby, no...”

Drizzt:” Zak said that is why uncle Jarlaxle dresses like that. I dont understand what that means”.

Picked back up with my marathon catch-up on the whole Legend of Drizzt canon by re-listening to the Sellswords Trilogy on audibook at work, which means I’m once again subjecting a fandom to my ridiculous work doodles.

There is genuinely nothing I love more in this setting than the ongoing and eternal drow drama, I missed these murderous little weirdos so much.

The problem with coming from the warhammer 40k fandom is that whenever I try to make fanart, im so used to make the proportions exaggerated and ridiculous that it just happens naturally. I started drawing a picture of Artemis and Jarlaxle, but I cant finish it because they are so fucking ripped I cant stop ugly cry-laughing at my own art.

Breezy: a mug that says “my favourite uncle is Jarlaxle” (a gift from Jarlaxle)

Bruenor: a mug that’s shaped like a beer tankard (that he drinks beer out of instead of coffee)

Gromph: looks like its made of bone and you don’t want to know what from (a gift to himself)

Regis: a gold bejewelled mug with “property of Pasha Pook” on the bottom (he doesn’t know its cursed)
