When a man marries a woman, he still has to keep in mind that God gave him his spouse as a gift and that to love her, he has to honor her by laying his life down for her, so that the Father can love her through him.

God never gave Eve to Adam at the cost of who God is inside of him. If a man doesn’t know Christ in a personal and intimate way, it’s impossible for him to truly love his wife as Christ loved the church. This is pretty straightforward, but it’s true.
