"I knew I smelled magics... I should have known It was you trying to sneak up on me." Banehallow grimaced, but didn't bother standing up. A rotted-down log was a comfortable enough seat, and he didn't pick up on any threat from Rubik. Not just yet, anyway. A pair of wolves passively watched, one laying down, the other sitting in front of his pack leader. Both flicked their ears back in submission when Banehallow spoke. "Do you not know better? The forest is dangerous. It's full of wolves and things that your party tricks cannot stop." He dropped a heavy hand on the sitting wolf's head and gave him an idle pet. "Unless you are after something specific, I suggest you do not try to waste my time."

My camp is always open to you, and your pack-" She paused and smiled before a light chuckle passed her lips. "As long as I’m not on the menu."
Banehallow grinned through teeth too sharp to be human. "Of course not. Human meats are far too gamey, especially the type that spend all their time running and shooting arrows. Provided there are enough deer and rabbits, my wolves will not try for something more dangerous. Unless you come at them first, of course."

Banehallow couldn't help but jolt. Magic. God, how he hated magic. As though a switch had been flicked, all at once he turned and employed a little magic of his own. A low growl, less human by the second, and he let the wolf take control. "You were warned," he snarled, barely understandable through a wolf's snout, and lashed out at her, teeth-first.

Banehallow sneered at the knife. Insulted, more than anything, but guarded nonetheless. Just because she had no right didn't mean she wouldn't try it regardless. "Dare take one step closer, and lose your hand."
{ ♕ } - - “What a cruel thought that is. You would never wish so ill of me, would you?” Her voice was mockingly soft and innocent, those thick lashes of hers lowered in hurt.
"Just be grateful that I am not acting on it now." He growled, already tired of her company.
