Hey! I'm Dia an Egyptian with Turkish roots, i've been here since like late 2021/early 2022, I'm an Atheist/Humanist queer in a obnxious society therefore I made this blog to freely talk about my obnxious opinions! I speak English and Arabic, I adore history and am currently studying literature.

That being said, I love various amounts of media and read quite a lot of books. My current favorite book is Circe by Madeline Miller and my all time favorite is The Song Of Achilles also by Madeline Miller. My favorite movies are Dead Poets Society, Brokeback Mountain, I saw the TV glow, Me Before You and various other movies. My favorite shows also vary but I'll have to say Bojack Horseman and Smiling friends and of coure YellowJackets, and Arcane. I also play games, COD, SDV, and various WII games

I also really enjoy talking about human rights, learning about religions (Polytheism, Mono-theism, anything really) and listening to music, Lord Huron (they have lore check that out) Zach Bryan, The fray, Mashrou' Layla, Gigi Perez, Of Monsters and Men, Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers and of course Richy Mitch and the Coal Miners. I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?

Don't become a housewife.

And if you do become a housewife, take steps to protect yourself. Make sure you’re legally married, for starters; stay-at-home girlfriends have very little legal recourse to claim their partner’s assets in a breakup. Make sure your name is on the house deed/rental agreement, and have your car in your name, even if your spouse is paying for it. Have your spouse transfer money every month into an account solely in your name, so you can buy yourself things without needing permission, but also so you can save up to leave if needed.

If your spouse fights you on any of this, then don’t quit your job. The tradwife to poverty pipeline is real, and so is financial abuse.

a trail of loss.

a drag path they said, a strange trail, traces of ashes and dust of what “was meant to be” but really wasn’t. a soul tie broke and left us on the edges, spilt our drag path into two separate trails. all the what could’ve beens live freely in my mind and in what’s left of my soul. you promised you’d stay, yet you lived like a ghost around my life for 4 months. we made a promise, that we’d belong with each other in different life times but apparently I wasn’t lucky enough for it to be this one, so instead? I’ll write my heart out in stuff you’ll never see, I’ll bleed my goddamned heart out on paper. Blind lead, ugly believing, soul crushing hope that somehow this fucked up universe will bring our hearts together once again. I’ll lie and say, “I’m getting better” but every time I speak and say that about you, I’m lying. I’m always lying when it comes to you, you’ve marked me in a way no one ever will be able to. You’re haunting me, and I’m trying to get rid of you in every way.
