Shiro, first of a series inspired by Endymion. I dunno I just want him to have a nice long nap, with the sounds of birdsong lulling his dreams, thinking of the planet he left far behind. Get some good Zâs big guy <3

Whether or not Shiro had clothes, didnât effect what Parlex thought of the dusty skinned alien. The affection and determination, was warming. If anything, Shiro sounded like any other member of the resistance Parlex had been living with. Although deep down, maybe Parlex wanted to cling to anything that didnât make him feel so alone and so small as being a prisoner on this warship. He realized this was no time for tears. He wiped stopped crying and wiped them away. WIth the cold eating at his skin, he looked at Shiro. The alien looked much like Parlex and Zusu did, with a thin layer of flesh or flesh-like material which covered muscles underneath. There was no hint of the fur, fat, or other organic material such as the Balmerranâs rock-skin, that would make him impervious to the cold of the cells. âShiro gonna be okay. We will leave.â Parlex wrapped his arms around Shiro. The only way he and his friends had kept warm on those nights they were far from home as the luxury of heaters and fire, they often couldnât afford as it would draw too much attention to their missions which never were anything other than secret. He rubbed Shiroâs back hoping the light friction would generate enough heat to keep the cold at bay. It was the only way he could think of to help. Parlex also wasnât naive. He had heard plenty of stories from aliens heâd rescued from the Galra. The Galra would return for Shiro for their entertainment, as much as he was certain the Druidâs wouldnât stop trying to break him. Yet, Shiro was right even if he didnât know the reason why. They will be okay. Violet would find him, but only if he didnât break first. He knew there was no other choice other than to get Shiroâs help. âPar⊠I need to speak truth. If team is four, then Parlex have team, not partner. We are four. Parlex, Violet, Zusu, Cobalt.â âDruid keep me to break break me. They break me to learn my weapon. It is secret to them. They told what it does, but they not know how it works. They not know who or how made. It only works for me, it only lives for me. If I break, then they make it live for them. It has secrets. Secrets to home, and more. I canât let home die. I canât let Violet lose or we lose everything with him.â It was normally against his instinct to mention his bayard. The word belonged to the lost Altean culture so he doubted anyone except another paladin would know it. Describing it with his limited understanding of Shiroâs language was frustrating. All of it was true. The bayard had been remade to be a gauntlet, only to hide its true nature. It saved the bayard from being identified numerous times. But now, the Druidâs had seen some of what it did in the recordings and they had Parlex to tell them what it was, how it worked, and âŠ. that there were more than the lions of Voltron. âI need your help. Get out, get weapon. Violet find us then, bring Zusu and Cobalt. No Galra ship, no Galra fighter stop us then. We be free.â
It didnât take long for the Galra to notice the difference in Shiroâs protective behavior and they took full advantage. Â The humiliation was more than the human could bare but he only granted himself a short time to recover before returning to Parlex for comfort and rest. Â As much as he didnât wish give his cellmate the wrong ideas, Shiroâs sleep was leagues better when sharing body warmth with Parlex. Â This was survival. Â With Parlex, hope was tangible. Â Shiro got used to touching and being touched; sometimes taking Parlexâs hands and putting them in his own armpits to keep him warm. Â And there he was cuddling with Parlex on a particularly cold evening. âThank you.â He mumbled into the otherâs hair. Â âYouâve given me strength I wouldnât have had otherwise. Â I think itâs time to get that weapon of yours.â Â He believed in whoever Violet was..it was strange but Shiro could feel it. Â Violet was powerful and loyal and it felt like he already knew them somehow. Â Was he losing his mind? Â Was this all some kind of terrible space madness? Â He held his cellmate a little tighter. Â Shiro hadnât cried in a while and he wasnât about to start now.

Prisoners
((trimming posts is annoying because it gets rid of everything including your last post, but Iâll paste it here & then write my reply. :) )) Footfalls approached and Shiro prepared himself as best he could.  He would free himself from this hell, dammit.  The visits were more frequent in this cell quadrant and despite their obvious delight in his resistance, Shiro couldnât allow himself to give in.  Fighting was his only shred of sanity left.  Not one, but two entered and the paladin hesitated.  There was no doubt he would be blasted unless he.. âAt least now youâll have company more your size.â Shiro gaped at Parlex who looked to be in excellent conditionâŠphysically.  He stood in the hold of three additional guards which was no surprise given the fight Parlex had put up days ago.  Or was it months?  Shiro didnât know anymore.  âNow you two can take turns, wonât that be a welcome break for you?â  Shiro hated them with his entire heart.  Those sadistic bastards would probably be back later to make good on their joke.  Of course, with Parlex by his side they wouldnât be laughing for long.  The cell door closed, leaving the two prisoners alone and Shiro casually covered himself with one hand.  They had done away with his clothes at some point. âParlexâŠwhat happened?  What did they do to you?â  Shiro moved to stand directly before his cellmate and studied him with concern. ââ The cool floor of the cell brought his attention fully back into reality. No hands were holding him, no straps tying him down. Even his body felt perfectly normal, the memories of the pain still ran through every inch. Parlex struggled with the decision to curl up and forget the nightmare, or to try and see if he could sit up. What he hadnât expected was to hear Shiroâs voice again. Parlex hadnât bothered thinking of which cell heâd be in, although he had hoped a few times during the past few days that he could fullfill his promise. That both of them would get out of here. Violet would come, he knew this. However, if Violet had continued the mission, the lion would be far back at their home and finding him might take longer than Parlex & Shiro could afford. His two warring emotions reached a comprise as he responded to Shiroâs question. He couldnât stop his one normal eye from welling up with tears as he didnât want to admit to his cellmate the extent of what happened. His cybernetic eye that once glowed with a light purple hue, was blacked and dead. Parlex, murmured, âDruids ⊠pain âŠâ There was enough of Shiroâs language that he had absorbed that Parlex was certain would be enough to see them through this. He didnât care if Shiro thought the same as he did, that he may or may not hate them like he did. He didnât have the energy to lie or hide his feelings. â⊠I hate ⊠them ⊠all⊠all Druids ⊠Zarkon âŠthey need die.â He still cried although, this time he pushed himself into a sitting position. âHow is Shiro ⊠youâŠ?â @lonelypaladin
Parlexâs lack of movement was chilling.  Shiro immediately shifted gears and knelt down to check the other over more carefully.  âDruids ⊠pain âŠâ  The darkened artificial eye was troubling...Parlex was speaking as if heâd barely survived.  Shiro could feel himself beginning to tense up as the flutterings of deep fear threatened.  Something worse than physical agony had been done..or maybe it was internal?  âCalm down Takashi.â â⊠I hate ⊠them ⊠all⊠all Druids ⊠Zarkon âŠthey need die.â âMe too.â  Shiroâs hands relaxed where they had come to rest on the guy.  Parlex was a trooper and damn them for doing this to him.  It was so dark and awful..heâd always believed in the possibility of finding peaceful ways with foreign life in space.  Shiro still wanted to believe.  Parlex was crying.  âHow is Shiro ⊠youâŠ?â âIâm fine.â  God he wished he had clothes.  Shiro couldnât shake his embarrassment.  âIâll do what I can to âŠâ  His eyes dulled.  Was he really doing this?  Was he actually choosing it?  No.  He knew what would happen and he was going to âŠ..  His mind flickered with dread.  He was going to offer himself in Parlexâs place.  It was too sickening to think about..but it was their best chance at escape.  Unless the frequency of visits drastically changed, Parlex wasnât going to have much time to recover.  Shiro could hang on a little longer.  Heâd take it and keep Parlex safe.  He closed his eyes and swallowed.  Humiliation knew no limit.  âJust rest.  Take it easy Parlex.  Youâre gonna be ok.â
