Hopper Adopted Steve as a Kid AU where Hopper had an agreement with Wayne Munson that if something happened to one of them, they’d would look after other’s boy.

Something happens.

Hopper ‘dies’ and the first thing Wayne does is track Steve down to a hospital room. He tells the kid about the agreement, tells him that he’ll be staying with him until he’s good and well, and gives no other alternative.

Steve is just numb enough to give in.

Wayne goes home and lets Eddie know that he met (with) a guy and that he’ll be staying with them for a while. Eddie, only half listening because he’s working on something, thinks, ‘wow, I didn’t know Wayne was gay. Good for him.’

And then says, “Okay.”

He doesn’t think about it again until he comes home a few days later to Steve Harrington in his living room and - “Are you fucking my uncle???!”

Hear me out. Steddie x Heated Rivalry

Steve Harrington is the Midwest golden boy dream for hockey. He has been playing since he could put on a pair of skates, is media trained within an inch of his life, and was suppose to be the number one pic for the NHL.

Until Eddie Munson rolled onto the scene. Eddie Munson who didn’t start playing until he was 14 years old when he was told he needed a “constructive outlet for his anger”. Eddie who was a super senior in high school and only made it to college by the skin of his teeth and hockey scholarship. And Eddie Munson who would become the number one pick, regulating Steve to number two.

And as fate would have it, they’re drafted to rival teams. They are one another’s villains, fated to hate each other forever.

But Steve doesn’t really hate Eddie. Not in the slightest. In fact, he is actually obsessed. And he’s starting to think Eddie might be obsessed with him as well.
