Boredom: it was a plague that burdened the witch on days like these. There had been no word from her message couriers, no visitors, and nothing of particular value to conjure up.
Oh how she despised the lack of plans ahead of her. It nearly made her sick to the stomach before she decided that perhaps she ought to investigate her lovely woods for herself, in the hopes something more interesting would ensue.
With that thought in mind, she was off, ambling along the ashen path which led into the forest of midnight black. Celestia allowed her intuition guide her, not paying entirely too much mind to her surroundings for now…
that was, until she encountered some all-too-familiar landmarks: various trees twisted and burnt to a crisp. A slight smile tugged at her pale lips as she absorbed the sight for a moment longer, and then proceeded to march onward, a delicate laugh following as she did so.
"Well this certainly shows promise…maybe this outing won’t be in vain after all.."
Twas a lovely day in the crispy warmth of the fire branded part of the forest, birds were chirping happily in the half dead tree’s, and little animals were collecting various nuts and fruits on the ground.
But despite the day being perfect, and pretty, a certain fire spirit wasn’t all to happy.
Leon just wanted to check out some parts of the forest he had yet to see, but little did he know the trail he was on would lead him to a massive, sprinkling waterfall, which splashed him, and nearly put him out! Thank heavens he was able to turn around swiftly and run/fly in the opposite direction. Being a fire spirit had it’s ups and downs, he could fly (more like float, but whatever), and cook things with ease.
But the downside was that he absolutely could NOT touch water at all. The only time he ever did was when he had to drink a small amount of boiled water so he could cure his dehydration (which happens maybe once a month) so other than that, water was a huge no-no.
He sat in his cave, or rather, his home, that was filled with lava, and fire-esque monsters, sighing angrily. He did NOT like having water splashed on him, especially since it made him even more hungry than usual, due to the fact that whenever he ate, it refueled his fire, so he had to eat twice as much just to get back to his normal temperature, and he hated it.
Leon hated how he had to eat more burn down tree’s, charcoal, and human food than usual just to feed his fire, he hated how he couldn’t get too close to water or he could die, he hated it with a burning passion. Hopefully something can come along and cool his flaring temper, as it was rising and falling with each passing minute.
The only witch of the forest pushed onward, sashaying along the winding paths ahead of her, now keeping a closer watch on the scene about her. It was not too often she chose to tread in this area of the forest, despite it still being part of her own, so she had to remain on high guard for now.
As she drew closer to the abode of one of her previous victims, the number of heavily damaged trees increased, signalling she was growing closer to his presence. For a moment, she stood in complete stillness, pondering on how she ought to present herself. Just showing up without a decent disguise at first would be risky, depending on his mood. Considering his fiery temper, especially towards her at times, she definitely took this into deep consideration.
A raven? No...that would be far too obvious, as it was her preferred animal. One of her Golden Butterflies? Again, too apparent.
After endlessly thinking it over, Celes decided against the idea. She'd just have to rely on her regular appearance and hope for the best. It also wasn't as though she really had anything to fear, either. If the spirit tried anything, she could just send him right back to his lantern, and then escape without even thinking about it.
The cave was straight ahead now. A few paces forward and there she stood at the entrance, gazing inside, only to spot an ember-like light within, emanating from none other than Leon Kuwata himself.
The witch's snake-like grin returned as she curtsied before him, staying as still as possible. She wouldn't dare tread in without invitation, after all. It would be rude to enter without asking first.
"Good afternoon. I certainly hope I'm not intruding on anything too important, but perhaps I could come in?"
