Lord Voldemort and his followers have taken over the Ministry and are preparing to do much worse to any that oppose them. Past&Present:

Thorfinn's parents weren't ever around much. He was raised by a governess who was quick to brush off his questions of his parents' locations. He was a lonely child, on his own for the most part until he was a bit older and his parents were around a bit more, drilling in strange ideas of purity and superiority. Unluckily for the lot of them, these ideas may have been planted a little too late in season. 

At school, Finn was shoved into a world he wasn't even sure he agreed with. Yet, his sarcastic humor and generally bitter attitude made him fit in well with Slytherin house, and he was quick to find how easily fooled some people were by his exterior expressions. He was also introduced to the numbness that alcohol provided and was quick to become somewhat of a functioning alcoholic. 

Nowadays, it can be hard to pinpoint what exactly Finn does for the Dark Lord besides drain the wine cellars and plant doubts. He's a smart young man and seemingly unafraid to express his opinions, though no one truly gets just how damaged he really is. 

Personality:

Finn might appear to be just a pretty face at times, but it's quite the opposite. Finn has learned to control everything about himself, his emotions, his expressions, even the impressions he lays on others. He has a secret that could ruin everything, could very well get him killed. 

Finn, unlike the people surrounding him, has a conscience. He sees what he is supporting and feels sick, feels a hatred burn through his veins for what he sees everyday. His problem is that this is his life, these people are the ones who have taken him in when he had no family of his own, these are the people who trust him. To reveal his true self would to let them all down, even to let himself down. 

So, he takes on the world with his doubts tucked away in his belt. Armed with a smirk and a wicked sense of humor, Finn does his best to hide his true feelings and spends his days hiding from his own guilty mind.

Past&Present:

Sarah grew up in a strenuous household, and she wouldn't call her childhood a happy one. Even at a young age, she was always arguing with her parents over matters big and small-from wearing a dress to ditching a muggle friend. She never understood the blood supremacy hype going around-and she didn't want to. Sarah was by far the most exposed to the muggle world compared to most purebloods and she didn't want to give up relationships with those she appreciated the company of.  Hogwarts was a welcome home away from home, and her thirst for knowledge and desire to outwit anyone and everyone made it easy to thrive in Ravenclaw house. She befriended just about anyone and was popular among her classmates-even some of the biggest bullies sometimes had a difficult time disliking her.  Now, although Sarah doesn't like the supremacy, family is family, and many people fighting for it are good friends of hers, and there are also people on the opposite side she is on good terms with. Sarah is much happier in the middle, refusing any temptation to pick a side or become an ally-she's even moved out on her own in order to get away from the war, passing as a muggle and gaining even more knowledge from the people around her. 

Personality:

Friendly and fairly optimistic, Sarah is easy to like and easy to please, even if recent events have complicated her life a bit. She likes lazy days and collecting silly things and even spends hours in coffeeshops and cafes never doing much in particular. Not everyone sees her as a useful girl, but Sarah is a lot smarter than most people take on-and that's precisely the game.  Skipping out on the war and most magical life in particular has been rough, but Sarah is durable and resourceful, finding ways to make her life better and happier with practical thinking. She does miss the people she left behind and can sometimes be seen conversing with other neutral parties that come from her world. She would revel in even the smallest tastes of home, lingering far more often than she should.  Though she isn't always the bravest, Sarah means well and will do just about anything she can to help someone. She just can't stand the idea of picking sides and getting caught up in a war. She wants to start her life and everything seems to be stuck at the crossroads. This war is extremely important, she knows, she just wishes it would end quickly and painlessly.

Past&Present:

William was raised mostly by extended family members. His mother and father were always quite busy and had no gall with passing him along to their relatives. Because of this, he learned quickly how to adapt and make new friends, content to move from place to place every few years, never finding it abnormal that his friends had parents who were their sole caretakers and hardly unwilling to share some of the stories of his own family he's collected by living with them as a child.  Because of his nomadic childhood, landing in Hogwarts was a strange ordeal. It was somewhere permanent, a place he could make his own. The people he met wouldn't come and go, and finally he was faced with the reality of how queer his upbringing was-especially for a Pureblood. Ravenclaw catered to his curiosity and intellectual pursuits, finding peace in books and exploring the grounds.  A lot of the Dark Lord's followers were surprised when William turned up in their midst, having never really dealt with the supremist ideals until his later years at Hogwarts. His extensive knowledge of the culture of wizarding places outside of London makes him useful, his quiet nature makes him seem submissive, though he's perfectly capable of proving otherwise. 

Personality:

Though quiet, William harbors a charming nature that is a necessity. He does tend to talk  a bit too much before his brain can catch up and has quickly learned how to talk himself out of such situations. He can be rather flaky at times, especially with his advice, overthinking and changing his mind in the middle of a conversation. Sometimes it can be hard to keep up, but at the end of it there are always new things to be tucked into the mind.  Though he isn't exactly kind, William would hardly leave someone out in the cold. He knows what it feels like to be an outcast and sympathizes with those in a similar situation. He doesn't always feel welcome in the band of Death Eaters and is doing his best to weasel his way in, tired of being nudged to the side when anything of importance comes along.  William is the most accustomed to change, having dealt with it his entire life. He can predict when the tides are turning, though at the moment he's relaxed, which in turn relaxes everyone else. Those who know him take note when he gets anxious, however, because that usually means a storm is coming, whether its said or not.

Past&Present:

The Nott family has always been a little different with the way they raised their children. Octavia didn't grow up in an abusive, distant home, in fact she had very loving parents who encouraged her to explore and have fun. Octavia was always surrounded by the idea that Purebloods were better, of course, and keeps this belief strong with her even now.  In school, Octavia was a fireball, reckless and sprouting trouble everywhere she went. She played with many hearts and broke even more, using other people's emotions to get what she wanted. She partied with just about anyone and then terrorized them the next day without a second thought. Octavia made it known that she had big plans and plenty of ambition to get it.  Now, Octavia has joined Alecto, lurking near the top, catching spies and leading missions for the Dark Lord. She is comfortable with a variety of things, including the art of luring men in with a bat of her eyelashes. Most people don't think Octavia would even be capable of killing someone. Those people don't know her very well.

Personality:

Growing up, people often made the mistake of assuming Octavia wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. They don't realize that that's quite the opposite. Octavia is one of the few women officially among the ranks of Death Eaters and she's learned exactly how to weasel herself in and get comfortable. Being insignificant on the outside is precisely how she works, and those who underestimate her are the ones signing their death wish early. Crafty and manipulative, there's a reason Octavia finds it easy to get what she wants. She was born to twist words and emotions and she isn't afraid to step on others to climb up the ladder, though there are a select few who she'd gladly pull up with her. Despite Octavia's diabolical ways, she is incredibly loyal and caring to the slim amount who still hold her heart, it's simply hard to pick them out in a crowd.  Octavia doesn't take a lot of abuse. She's gone through plenty having to deal with all the misogynists around her. She knows her strengths and weaknesses, though few others know the latter, and won't let anyone truly control her. Octavia refuses to let anyone else play games with her. If the world is a stage, she wants to be the director.

Past&Present:

The Prince family has always been known as well behaved, proper, quiet, and pure. No one in the supremist community ever had a bad thing to say about them until Annie came along. As a child, she never bode well with being stifled, though she did enjoy her music lessons, everything else was a bore, and she became quite the troublemaker in a means to express herself. Going into Hogwarts, Annie was ready to spread her wings and fly, only to find that she wasn't able to be as free as she would have liked. Although Annie found a home in Hufflepuff house, she also found the taunts of other Purebloods. She found peace in protecting her classmates and as she went through school made a point of ignoring anything her mother wanted from her and any expectations from the elitist families.  Upon graduating, Annie was already speaking with Dumbledore about returning with a music program. Still, due to the war any such jobs are a little backed up and she fears she might have to wait a while. In the mean time, she's taken up a job at her friend Greta's apothecary shop that's open to anyone. Annie's already tired of the war, and doesn't want to take sides anytime soon.

Personality:

Sweet, caring, and a natural virtuoso, Annie finds it easy to make friends and be trusted. She is a very compassionate person, although when pushed too far she is a force to be reckoned with. Just a touch too naive, Annie used to dream about simply disappearing, and as a result tends to be a bit flighty as well.  Although Annie means well, she doesn't always know just the right thing to say. She does love to help with problems, though, and can be quite clever when the situation calls for it. Annie is far from a devious little brat ready to take over the world, and is a very honest person around just about anyone, even if it can get her into trouble.

Past&Present:

With a rich family and no siblings, Albert’s life has been easy from the start. His mother constantly doting on him and his father appearing as the perfect role model, it was only a matter of time before the spoiled child was sent for a reality check upon arrival to Hogwarts. At first, he wasn’t altogether happy, but as he adjusted he made genuine friends and grew to love his second home even more than his first.  Graduating from Hogwarts with plenty of opportunity, it was only a matter of time before he was flung headfirst into the Ministry of Magic and its plethora of rules and regulations.  At the moment, he is quite low in stature because his father was recently arrested and sent to Azkaban, reasons not being disclosed to the public. Albert is determined to climb the ranks, however, and rid himself of the shame in his father and the things he has done.  Albert has yet to choose a side in this war, finding it messy and  childish to scream world domination and expect it to be easy. He much prefers to stay safe than sorry, though he’s been approached a few times by the Dark Lord’s recruiters. 

Personality:

Upon first meeting him, Albert can seem uninterested and shut off. This is part of his defense mechanism that kicked in once the War started. He trusts few spare his close friends and his boss and becomes a little more paranoid by the moment. Albert is young, his mind is full of the hate his father spread thick in his veins, and it isn’t clear whether he’ll ever be able to shake that off.  When it comes to big decisions that affect him greatly, Albert will take a substantial amount of time to decide, and it is important not to pressure him or he might just throw it away completely. He wants to be his own person, and he can’t see himself doing that by falling to one side or the other.  Stubborn as he is, Albert is determined to try to remain as normal as possible, but his fiery temper and sarcasm has been getting him into a bit of trouble lately, especially with the exact people that his friends warn him about. It's clear he needs to reevaluate his boundaries, and fast.

Past&Present:

Tripe was never a horrifying name to behold. They were a dying breed, something Alexander heard from his father constantly. While other Pureblood families had cousins and aunts and uncles, the Tripes had a family of three. As a boy, Alexander was a bit isolated, forced by his father to gather up as much knowledge as possible before being shipped off to Hogwarts.  Alexander was one of the kinder Pureblood children, though he was befriended by many of the temperamental ones. He found security in those around him and his fellow students made his journey into socializing all the more bearable. One of the few Ravenclaws to not always have his nose stuck in a book, Alexander took interest in many other trivial affairs, politics, social drama, even toying with the emotions of those around him. There was something fascinating about the human spirit that he simply ached to be around. Outside of the castle, however, Alexander quickly learned that there were no longer time for those types of games, at least not for him. He wasn't as quick about his observations as he needed to be, though at times his perspective does come in handy at meetings when he can manage to get a word in. Some have pictured him as the brawn for too long, Alexander is ready to become part of the magnificent brain of this operation. 

Personality:

Most tend to forget that Alexander isn't just a pretty face. He's a young man filled to the brim with bad ideas and a thirst for blood. Although Alexander isn't as easily manipulated as most, he does dream of a world where muggles slump under his feet and the bloodline is pure and can sometimes get a little ahead of himself in excitement for such a dream to come true.  Violent and trivial, Alexander is good at mind games and is one of the best at torturing for information. He may not have been the Dark Lord's right hand, but he was doing something useful and getting them somewhere. Their cause was becoming one he believed in more than anything else. He couldn't even fathom the possibility that they might fail.  As much as he tries to cut himself off emotionally from others, there is a humane side to Alexander. The only true issue is that he has been convinced into thinking that those on the other side aren't even human, they're rats, and they do not deserve his compassion, though with his training, there seems to be little left.

Past&Present:

Growing up a Zabini was never a walk in the park. With only his devilish mother and a handful of house elves to serve as influences, Alec was cruel even in childhood. Unlike his peers, however, his mother taught him the value of the cruelness of the heart and the mind, rather than the body. While he was encouraged to build up his strength, Alec spent more time studying the behaviors of others in order to tackle them from the inside out.  The friends he made as a child quickly discovered the folly in crossing him, and most have even made it alive. In school he was quiet until the beast inside was awoken. His dagger was his word, his ability to verbally abuse just about anyone to their kneees made him difficult to approach and even harder to befriend. Those who mistake him as a sidekick are terribly ignorant. Alec is strong in body and mind, though his sanity is to be questioned at times. He is one of the Dark Lord's most trusted of strategists and can often be found at someone's manor, mapping plans and murmuring things to the Dark Lord. Some see Alec as a pet to their leader, as they're often found together talking quietly, but Alec has enough pride to brush aside any taunts, knowing the source of them is jealousy. Alec is sure that he has thought through everything, but his own arrogance may have caused even his sharp eye to overlook something. 

Personality:

Manipulative in every form of the word, Alec enjoys making people do his bidding whilst letting them think it's of their own free will. There is a quiet power in everything he does, and no action goes by without its reasons. Alec is very self-absorbed, as he trusts no one and survival is his only true friend, but he is vital to the Dark Lord's success, and this is something none of his followers can deny.  Alec is cold, unnerving and capable of making just about anyone uncomfortable if that's what he wants. With a dry sense of humor and quick tongue, Alec can also direct people into a false sense of security around him, making it even easier for him to control the people around him.  Other people are merely puppets in his life, even those who have managed to wriggle into his innermost circle are simply tools in his line of success. Alec hardly considers those he tortures and kills as humans, and sometimes it doesn't even matter their blood type if they're preventing him from having his way.

Alecto Carrow || 20 || Death Eater ||Slytherin Alumni || Pureblood || Daria Sidorchuk

Past&Present:

There was a time when little Alecto Carrow smiled, but it didn't last long. In the shadow of her brother, she was as close to safe as she could get, but never sheltered. With an abusive father who was interested in nothing more than raising killers, it was near impossible to be a normal child, let alone be happy in any way.  Hogwarts was a sanctuary of its own, and Slytherin was the perfect opportunity for Alecto to build herself up. She was a ruthless, pitiless girl from the very start, excelling in everything even if she lacked the interest. She was smaller than everyone else and had an even shorter temper, and their jaunts made her want to be even better. She wouldn't hide behind her brother, though he was protective without her warrant, she could defeat these small demons on her own.  Now, Alecto is a refined killer, at the top of her game, and yet she is slowly crumbling. Alecto is one of those in charge of the snatching parties, creeping up behind spies and either ridding the Dark Lord of them at once or taking them back to be questioned. There is a thrill in Alecto's work, in the hunt, but there is also a silent dread that the hunters might have become the hunted. 

Personality:

Though perpetually angry, Alecto has always had a cold, calculating way about her that always separated her from the other girls her age. She didn't like all the dramatics and preferred the company of the boys, though they weren't always much better. She can seem quite humorless at times, though her brother can usually manage to bring out a smile now and again, more often when they're alone. Alecto doesn't have much compassion to spare for others, she is bloodthirsty and cruel, doing what she must in order to help her cause even if it means blood on her hands. She isn't afraid to do her own dirty work and to stick her fingers into the fire with little to no hesitation. There are only a few that Alecto is sure she loves, her mother, her brother, and her best friend Octavia. Without them, she'd be a lot more reckless and even more dangerous. Still, they're in the back of her mind, providing her the control she needs to avoid being labeled a loose cannon, if she wasn't already.
