I haven’t picked up my animal crossing game since around Christmas, but lately I have wanted to play it again. I’m afraid to turn it on in case my favorite villagers have left because I know it’ll break my heart, but I kind of don’t want to start over because I liked the place my game was at and the layout of my town.

If I DO decide to start over, I can trade things like my bells and items over to a second copy that I have, so I won’t actually lose too much, other than my house being fully upgraded and having almost all the shops unlocked, including Gracie’s. I’m not afraid to time travel back to Christmas and then jump ahead at 3 day intervals until I’m at the present date, if it comes to that.

I guess my real question is what do? Should I restart the whole game after trading over my items or just turn it on and see what happens?
