Death Wish 3 was the reason I lost HBO as a kid one Saturday afternoon. My mom had no clue that HBO played anything during the day that wasn't the Fraggle Rock.

I distinctly remember me, my older brother (his idea to watch Death Wish 3), and my little sis being chewed out by our mom then her immediately ripping CabelVision a new one as she canceled ALL the cable, not just HBO.*

Pretty sure she threaten to call the cops on the cable company after making my 10 year old sister tell the call center rep about the rape scene she just watched.  

As a grown up with kids I totally love my mom's reaction btw.

*My Dad called back later that day to reinstate the basic cable package over her objections.so he could still watch football.
