A laughing matter to him, no one sailed better than the Iron Born and it was well known. “Or have you forgotten they’re born on the sea?”

BIOGRAPHY

The marriage of Todric Greyjoy and Heyla Drumm was one that the Iron Islands had planned since they pair were born. And their union gave them 6 children, the eldest being Victarion Greyjoy. A boy born prematurely on the sea, his parents say the sea has always been part of who he is. He and his mother proving themselves strong by surviving the birth. A sign from the Drowned God the other Iron Born said. 

For as long as Victarion could remember he was on the sea, his father and uncles taking him on the ship that he would command, if he was able to prove himself strong enough for it. It was the way of the Iron Born, if he wasn’t strong enough to hold his position it would go to another who was strong enough. The days of Kingsmoots were gone fron the Iron Islands but they’d still choose another if he wasn’t strong enough.

Victarion however proved to be a master on the ocean and a monster with a blade. He could command a room and he was said to “bleed iron” there was no doubt that Victarion was the rightful heir of Pyke. A man worthy of the name Lord Reaper. 

To him keeping their ways and their god is important to him, his people, his family are iron born and for everything they have they pay the Iron Price. Their riches are taken and they get nothing for free. The fear people feel when they see the Iron Fleet brings him great joy. He can be a cruel man and it’s widely known. 

Victarion wants more for his people, however he can get it he wants to make that happen. Their ways are the ways they’ll stick to but he knows alliances when he sees them, the Targaryen’s are still people his house is the most loyal to outside of themselves. They don’t pay the Iron Price but they’ve proved they pay with “fire and blood” 

Victarion marrying outside of the Iron Islands wasn’t something he’d expected to do, but when it was found out some of his Iron Born were in a dispute over attacked ships of House Vaith there was little option to ease the tensions aside from marriage. For the first time in many generations The Lady of Pyke wasn’t Iron Born. 

She did give him one son, Erik Greyjoy, he’s Victarion’s pride and joy and he’s going to do everything in him to make sure his son is a true Iron Born.

original betrothal: Victarion was supposed to be married to this Iron Born woman before the problems arose with House Vaith and the Dorne. If they were betrothed or supposed to be betrothed it’s open to either. 

enemies: more people he’s had issues with, he’s a greyjoy and he’s a raider basically a pirate. house greyjoy always have problems and im here for them

old flings: he’s sailed a lot of places and met a lot of people so he probably has been with a few women
