"Advice: be smart and flexible; don’t be afraid to adjust your strategy, be honest with yourself, and don’t be afraid to ask for support."
And of course she will be in Slytherin. She would never belong anywhere else. Not Ravenclaw, not Hufflepuff , and Merlin forbid – never Gryffindor .
- Chapter 2. Black, "Lorelei Thurkell and the Philosopher's Stone"
why bother building your own opinion?
we’re living in a world where the internet and social media are the main sources of our knowledge—the place where we find the hottest topics for our tea parties and where we grow as people. and how do we grow? through conflict. because where is truth born? in discussions. but how much do we actually get involved in them?
I like reading comments, and I like watching two or more people discuss one topic—citing arguments, tearing each other’s points to shreds. politics, a book character’s behavior and backstory, the finale of a popular show. but sometimes I read discussions not only about things I already know, but about things I’m hearing about for the first time. and then I can pick a side between two opposing parties just because one of them sounds more reasonable, or closer to me.
and that can be wrong.
because disinformation is one of the most uncontrollable problems on the internet right now. most of the time, you don’t know—or you should question—who and what to believe. so when you’re not sure about the basis of a conflict, it’s better to spend some time and actually get into it, instead of building your opinion on a stranger’s words online. what? you don’t have the time or the will to dive into every news break? then why do you need to have an opinion about each of them?
trust, but always verify. that’s what I’m talking about.
We turn our backs on nature; we are ashamed of beauty. Our wretched tragedies have a smell of the office clinging to them, and the blood that trickles from them is the color of printer's ink.
- A.Camus "Helen's Exile" (1948)
WHAT IF I’m a burst pipe artist?
My thoughts spraying everywhere—and when I finally learn how to control them,
I guess it's my destiny to be CHAOTIC. so I always run after two hares and catch neither of them

why you should have your hyperfixation?
hyperfixation can be a real power if you learn how to aim it right.
it’s not about being maniacal about something and spending hours running in cycles; it’s about reading articles and reddit threads and books, watching videos on YouTube and movies, and listening to podcasts. obtaining information in large volumes and analyzing it.
it can be hard, it can be a struggle, and maybe someone will get to: “why should I do all of this? I can just get a short answer from ChatGPT or something.” and that someone would have a point. BUT hyperfixation’s point is not getting an answer, but getting LITTLE answers on the way to something BIG. and when you gather little answers yourself, and put it all together, you’ll get a result. and even if it’s not new, and you could’ve gotten it simply by receiving an answer from someone or something, it won’t matter. after all, even if there’s nothing new in the world, there will be something that will be YOURS.
hyperfixation gives you deep focus most people struggle to access. it helps you learn faster (because your brain wants to be there), notice details others miss, and keep going longer without needing constant “motivation.” it creates “flow,” which not only feels genuinely good, but can help you improve real skills like art, coding, languages, music—and gives your brain a clear goal instead of scattered noise.
in some way, hyperfixation can actually be a great counterweight to “clip thinking” (short attention bursts trained by endless scrolling), because it retrains your brain to tolerate boredom—and boredom is where focus grows. it gives “earned dopamine” instead of “scroll dopamine.” and it feels calmer and longer-lasting than the quick spike from videos.
so yeah, you should find your own hyperfixation.
Come with me and you'll be in a world of pure imagination Take a look and you'll see into your imagination
why you should write mini-essays?
even if you're not writer, artist or something like that.
nowadays we are surrounded by information: endless news, unimaginable count of media like movies and series, great books, great songs and scientific research that can blow your mind. but what we keep for us from that after all? data comes and goes like posts while scrolling, and in the end of the day, week and month we left alone with nothing after having everything. we have freedom, access to every inch of information we need, but do we remember what we were doing and thinking about hour ago? day? week?
there's many ways to stop and figure out present like it is now. and mini-essays not only helping to learn how to manage your thoughts, turn fuzzy ideas into clear ones and train structure automatically, after you write and save your mini-essay about your favorite song, interesting theory or things that make your anxiety go crazy, in every moment you can go back, look at your thoughts and knew, that have you done, where have you been and where are you now.
like save points in the videogame. just a little time-consuming. but it's worth it. believe me.

I've grown up. I feel cramped in the old version of myself.
"Mrs Malfoy was a modern ideal – a lady virtuous, yet remarkable in all the best ways. Her beauty was undeniable, her dress always elegant, her manners refined. Every word she spoke was chosen with care. No false emotion ever broke through her expression – nor, indeed, any unbecoming feeling. One might suppose she did not even know what such a thing was. She hosted the finest gatherings, led light conversation with ease, charmed any guest – even the stiffest politician or his stern wife – danced with grace, and played the piano most beautifully.
She was the best of the best.
And rightly so – she came from the noble house of Black."
“She wove spells from sorrow and silence, her magic born in moonless hours.”
‘I never thought I’d end up in Slytherin!’
"‘I never thought I’d end up in Slytherin!’ she said into the dark. Lorelei glanced at her, surprised. No one could see her face, which freed her from keeping it in check. Still, it had been some time, and her face was out of practice; her eyes did most of the speaking now. ‘Everyone says Slytherin’s full of bad sorts and dark wizards! But why should people throw everyone into one pile, right? I think it’s not as dreadful as they say. Surely there were good witches and wizards here, too. Like… Merlin! He was clever and kind! Though He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was here too… Actually, many said that he did. I'm not sure... Did you see Harry Potter? I caught a glimpse when we rose from the feast, but his hair fell over his brow, and I couldn’t spot the scar… Do you think it’s really shaped like lightning?’
‘It must be,’ Lorelei answered into the dark.
‘Poor boy, really. People are bound to keep asking him about that night, the scar, and all, and surely he hates remembering it. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named killed his parents, didn’t he? I wonder if he remembers? The duel, I mean. Though he was very little, and my mother said it’s better if he doesn’t remember a thing. What do you think, does he remember?’
‘I believe I’ve said. I doubt it.’
‘Yes, yes. And my mum told me that Harry Potter’s parents were heroes too, and fought bravely against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Just like my mum. As soon as she became an Auror, she went after wicked wizards who did wrong. What about your parents? What do they do?’
‘They are dead.’
‘Oh.’" - "Lorelei Thurkell and the Philosopher's Stone"
