Eli grabbed the limp rabbit in his jaws and gulped it down whole without any hesitation, blinking in surprise afterwards.

“I…d-did I just do what I think I did…?”

No! No! I changed my mind! Turn my eyes back on, please!

“okay, just lemme do it.” Sock turned his feed back on, then reassured, “I’ll make it really fast, okay? just….try tuning it out maybe?” He didn’t want Eli to be upset, especially now that he could feel that fear from him. Also, he was hoping he’d get to do this again.

Eli’s stomach growled as his nose involuntarily picked up the scent of some rabbits.

Honestly, at this point I’m so hungry I don’t care…just stop me if I start to faint, okay?

“Will do, fluffy buns!” Sock replied, going after the rabbits. He knew how to sneak up on these very well, much better than Eli most days anyway. He’d done this a thousand times, and soon enough Sock had grabbed a rabbit and snapped its neck easily. He’d rather have used a knife, but this worked.

I’m just squeamish about blood, Sock. I don’t ever want to kill anything unless my life is in danger. Like when I stabbed…

Aww you’re too soft. *huffs* But okay. *Sock shuts off Eli’s feed to his eyes and heads after some scent that leads to the woods. From what he can tell it’s something delicious*

Of course, Eli didn’t consider Suka a “buddy,” but he knew the pudgy former king would definitely have his back if this kid got too crazy…

Sock nodded excitedly. “Okay then!” He then zoomed straight at Eli, disappearing into his body.

Eli felt a blast of cold as Sock’s form entered him, his spine tingling painfully. But he couldn’t move…he stayed there as though he were chained to the spot; he couldn’t even open his mouth to speak. His heart raced wildly and he wanted to shriek at the top of his voice, but he couldn’t make a single sound.

Sock’s voice came out of his mouth, instead, “Hey, hey, shhhhh. It’s okay! It’s just me. You’ll get used to it in a second.” The little demon shook ‘himself’ before starting to move off into the woods, “I’ll kill you a few rabbits or something and then I’ll go. I’m just really glad you let me in; I promise I won’t get you hurt or anything. I don’t have many friends.”
