A/N: I wrote this as a birthday gift for my friend since she’s a huge Aizawa simp. It’s also my first fic so criticism/advice is welcome :)
“Damn all of this rain” you thought as you looked desperately at your phone. Its black screen taunted you for forgetting to charge it last night. “What I’d give to have a navigation quirk”
With a short huff, you stuff your phone into your pocket and trudge along. A single lamp post lit the way amongst the dark alleyway you were currently walking down. It wasn’t nearly enough light to see clearly, but there wasn’t anything you could do.
“Shit!”
Unceremoniously, you kicked the edge of a box, nearly falling over. Amidst your unplanned adrenaline rush, you could’ve sworn you heard a faint cry. Peering into the recently kicked box, you saw a black kitten curled up in the corner. The inside of the box was damp and undoubtedly cold. “Guess you're lost too, huh?” you whisper as you gently scoop the kitten into your coat. “Let’s get you home”
After an embarrassingly long time, you managed to find your way back to your apartment. The poor kitten was shaking as you placed them on the table in your living room. On your way to the bathroom, you notice the bedroom light on. “Hm, I’m surprised he is still up.” You grab the closest hand towel you could find, and hurried back to the kitten. Once the kitten was dry, you grabbed a small dish from the cabinet and went to the sink to fill it with water. You felt a warmth come up behind you and grab your waist.
“You’re home late, kitten”
“My stupid phone died and I got lost”
“I told you to charge it”
“Yeah, but I don’t listen to you”
With the dish in hand, you whisk away from Aizawa and return to the kitten. The kitten greeted you with a quiet meow before drinking the water. “Babe, can you heat up the leftover chicken? I’ve got to grab a box and some blankets for the little guy to sleep in.” Aizawa rolls his eyes, but walks to the fridge. He warms up the chicken in the microwave, but not for too long since he doesn’t want it to be too hot for the kitten. He breaks up the chicken into small pieces and holds it out in his hand for the kitten. As the kitten takes tiny nibbles of the chicken, you walk back into the living room with a small crate and a cat-themed blanket and place them on the table. Once the kitten is well-fed, you flop onto the couch with the kitten bundled in your arms.
“We should name him Shouta Jr,” Aizawa says as he slides onto the couch next to you.
“Absolutely not”
“I'm kidding, but seriously, what should we name him?”
“Since it’s a girl, I was thinking k/n”
Aizawa hums and leans his head onto your shoulder.
“Tired?”
Aizawa hums again. You give his head a quick kiss before getting up to tuck the kitten into her box. You see Aizawa still on the couch with his head thrown back and eyes closed. You take the opportunity to sit in his lap and lazily kiss his neck. With a low groan, he picks his head up off the couch.
“Come on, let’s go to bed” you say, grabbing his hand as you get up. Aizawa follows your lead and stands up, and you share a kiss. He starts walking to your shared bedroom, hands still together, but you pause.
“Wait.” Aizawa looks at you with narrowed eyes. “I need to give k/n a goodnight kiss, too.”
