She totally asks you to teach her everything you know

She admires the hard work you put into your craft, it’s similar to how she felt about ballet and currently feels about u’s

Whenever you want a sparring partner, even though she’s super new at it and doesn’t know a lot, she’ll be glad to help you, even if it’s just by holding up targets for you to kick

Maki:

When you told her about how you were a black belt, her first thought was to check you for injuries or joint damage

She goes a little bit overboard researching the potential dangers you put yourself in doing such a high-impact activity

You reassure her that you’re fine, you take care of yourself and it’s not actually very dangerous, but she shakes her head and says that even a tiny risk of injury is enough for her to care

She’ll watch your matches and try very hard to look like she doesn’t care, but the second someone lands a blow on you she’ll be running onto the mats and yelling for everyone to stop so she can make sure you’re okay

Be patient with her, she’s just a high-strung person

Riko:

Similar to Maki, she tries not to let it show how much she’s interested, but it’s for a slightly different reason

But when you tell her casually that yeah, you’re a black belt, all she can think of is how hot you must look while you’re sparring

She very casually, tastefully asks if you have any pictures or videos, and watches all of them with utmost fascination

But in all seriousness, she’s very supportive of you and cheers you on at all your matches

Nozomi:

So when she’s going to meet you on one of your first dates and she sneaks up behind you

She doesn’t quite get to washi you before you grab her arm and twist it around

Luckily no one is hurt because she yells and you realize who it is

let me start off by saying that your blog is really nice!! you're doing a great job here! so, i went through the angsty tag and it made me a bit sad, so, if nobody asked for it yet, I'd like to request Aqours and how they'd help their s/o through with therapy! thank you!!

Chika: She looks… weirdly happy? And you’re confused but she tells you that she used to go to therapy too! She’s stopped because she’s gotten better, but she asks a bunch of questions that only people who have had therapy would really think to ask. None of the “Are you okay?” or “I’m so sorry” stuff, you just talk about the weird stuff you made them talk about and techniques that they used and how effective you think they were

Riko: She’s never really been close to anyone who went to therapy, and she’s curious about what kids of things you talk about/do. She won’t pry, she knows your boundaries and tells you that you don’t have to answer, but she loves to hear what you talk about.

You:She’s basically just supportive. She sometimes picks you up from your appointments and you go get ice cream and if you’re feeling emotional after a session, she’ll help you calm down and just talk about happy things. Of course, she makes sure you know that you can talk to her about anything, and she’ll never leave you no matter what hardships you go through.

Ruby: She is the most patient, understanding person. She never pressures you to talk about things you don’t want to, but she’s always there for you if you want to. When you tell her that you’re going to therapy, she’s quiet, but she smiles and takes your hand and says that she loves you no matter what, and that she’ll always be there for you. 

Yohane: She never knew that anything was wrong, and she feels really bad for never being observant of other people. She has a hard time talking about emotional stuff, but as Yohane, she swears that she won’t rest until all the demons haunting you have been banished from this realm forever.

Hanamaru: Once you tell her, she goes to the library and gets all the books about therapy and what it’s like and learns everything she can about it, even some psychology. She just wants to understand what you’re going through, she knows she can’t help you like a professional therapist, but she can at least do her part not to misunderstand anything.

Dia: When you tell her that you’ve been going to therapy for awhile, she doesn’t say anything. It’s kind of scary, honestly. You start to regret saying anything and get up to go when she grabs your arm, and you see that she’s tearing up. She says in a shaky voice that she’s sorry that she made you feel like there were things you couldn’t tell her. She’s sorry that she didn’t even notice that something was wrong. She starts to cry for real, and you feel bad, and she just hugs you for awhile and tells you over and over that she loves you and you can tell her anything.

Kanan: You bring it up in conversation casually, while she’s cleaning around her dad’s shop. She drops the box she was holding, and rushes over to you, asking you if you’re okay, why are you going, etc. You tell her not to overreact, it’s just to help you cope with self-esteem and depression issues, nothing serious. She looks heartbroken, and tells you that it is serious to her. She asks if it’s okay to go with you to one of your sessions, so that she can better understand what’s wrong. When she sees how hard you struggle with self-worth, she starts to tell you a lot more just how much she adores you.

Mari: FIrst she demands to know the name of the therapist you’re seeing so she can research them and determine if they’re worthy of being your therapist. You laugh but she’s dead serious, and she goes to their office and makes sure they know who exactly they’re talking to, and says that you mean the entire world to her and they better give 110% into your sessions. If she doesn’t like them, she’d go interview every therapist in 100 mile radius and find the very best for her precious S/O.

Could we get some yohariko headcannons?

- mari was the one who set them up. it was a mess really, because mari would keep missing practice to give them some alone time (to the point where she would be really sloppy at lives and get scolded by dia), riko had a huge crush on yoshiko but would much rather die than tell anyone, so rather than practice with just her she would just suggest they move practice to a different day, or cancel altogether, and yoshiko just wanted to spend time with riko and gets mad at Mari for messing up their practice times where she would normally get to see her

- yoshiko would text mari for advice on how to ask her own and flirt and drop hints that she was gay and mari gave her good advice, but riko is a total useless lesbian and even though she was super into yoshiko, she didn’t even realize that yoshiko was flirting

- until yoshiko texted “GOD IM SO IN LOVE WITH SAKURAUCHI RIKO WHY WON’T SHE NOTICE ANYTHING MARI WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOOOOOO???!???” which was meant for mari, but she accidentally sent it to riko AND EVEN THEN riko was like “wait… is this a prank? do you mean you’re in love with me like a friend?” but then they moved it to the guilty kiss group chat and mari slapped some sense into both of them

- everyone in aquors is super supportive of their relationship, which is a problem for riko because she didn’t particularly want anyone else in aquors knowing about them (which is a ridiculous pipe dream considering mari knew about it, so by extension everyone else in the group knew about them pretty much before they were even together)

- yohane is super proud of her beautiful girlfriend though!! she looooves to embarrass riko all the time by announcing loudly how much she loves her

- once she sneaks into Riko’s bedroom to surprise her, and while snooping around she finds her yuri doujins and discovers her kabedon obsession, so from that point onward she kabedons her all the time, and riko will just shove her but also get really flustered and love it

- riko, with mari’s urging and teachings, starts to get more assertive like yohane later on in their relationship, and while yohane sometimes misses how easily embarrassed and cute riko used to be, she also definitely appreciates it when riko takes charge and turns the tables on her

- deep down, they’re both nerds though, and they have a pact to never reveal the worst of each other’s obsessions. it works because they both have so much blackmail on each other that they’re deeply afraid to do anything that might encourage the other to share

- so when riko skips school and camps out for 4 days to get the early release of a yuri vn, or when yohane actually sets her bed on fire during one of her streams when a candle fell, they cover for each other

Dear Chika,

I know writing letters isn’t your preferred method of communication, but thank you for indulging me all this time. It means a lot to get a thoughtful, hand-written message from you that I can keep and look at when I feel drained. It’s like a piece of you that you send to me–if I can’t touch your face, at least I can hold your paper until the pain of how much I miss you everyday fades a bit.

Chika couldn’t wipe the grin off her face as she clutched Dia’s letter carefully in her hands. She always got sappy when she was writing letters, but she had really outdone herself this time. Overwhelmed with a sudden longing, Chika glanced at the clock. 8:02. Dia’s university was just over a two hour drive, and Chika could definitely get that down and be there before she fell asleep.

Following her passion without stopping to think, she ran through her house saying a quick “See ya later!” to her family and grabbing her mom’s car keys and jumping in the car before she could be stopped. She sped all the way to Dia’s school and parked in the first space she found, parking fees be damned. Chika had visited enough times before to know exactly the way to Dia’s dorm, and she ran at full speed.

“Chika?!”

Just before she got to the door, Chika heard a familiar, beautiful voice yell her name. She spun around, and saw a shocked Dia with her backpack over both shoulders, her student ID on a lanyard around her neck, reading glasses completing her studious look. Chika couldn’t stop herself from crying as she ran into Dia’s arms, who embraced her tightly.

“What are you doing here?”

“I-I just missed you so much!” Chika said, her voice shaking through her tears. She squeezed Dia’s shoulders with all her might, and she couldn’t stop crying as she felt more home than she had since Dia had left Uchiura.

“Oh, Chika,” Dia smiled despite herself, rubbing her emotional girlfriend’s back as she cried on her shoulder. “I missed you too. Come on, let’s get inside before we catch a cold.” Chika didn’t want to let go, but she just clung to Dia’s hand with both of hers and let herself be led to her dorm.

“My roommate is actually visiting her family, so you came at a pretty good time. I don’t think she’ll mind you using her bed,” Dia said as she put her backpack down and started unpacking her books onto her desk. Chika just stared pointedly at Dia until she looked over and they met eyes. Dia raised an eyebrow. “You know they’re twin sized beds.” Chika only stared harder, until Dia cracked a smile.

“Alright. Just let me brush my teeth and I’ll be right back.”

Chika wasted no time taking her clothes off and jumping under the crisply-made covers of Dia’s bed. Burying her face in her pillow that smelled just like her, Chika started to sniffle again. After too long a time, Dia returned and climbed into the tiny bed as best as she could. Chika snuggled into her chest so close that the size wasn’t an issue.

“I love you, Dia,” she said, wrapping her arms and legs around her like an octopus.

“I love you too, Chika,” Dia whispered, running her fingers through her orange hair, taking out the clover hairpin that she always wore. Chika giggled as her heart filled with butterflies at her girlfriend’s touch. “But you know I have to scold you for taking your mother’s car without permission.”

“How’d you know?” Chika whispered sleepily.

“Because I know you,” Dia smiled, tracing a finger across the bare skin of Chika’s back until her breathing slowed and evened out, and she fell asleep.

As Chika drifted off into the most peaceful sleep she had had in months, she heard Dia whisper, “I’m glad you did. I love you so much.”

She nearly cries when you talk about your interests because you’re so clearly into them but you clam up and apologize for talking about such silly/nerdy things. Since you never have anyone to talk to about them, she listens super actively and makes you feel really good about talking to her

She has to point you to Dia to talk about academic stuff, since she’s not really as smart in that area, but she always praises you for doing so well in school, and reminds you that it will all work out in the end, but until then she will do anything you make you happy in the moment.

When you call her crying, Umi’s first reaction is to panic because she thinks you’re in terrible danger or you accidentally killed someone and she just braces herself to help you hide the body and run away to Iceland

But she makes out “break up” and “sudden” and pieces together what happened

She stays calm for you because she knows you need to calm down

“Stay right where you are, I’ll be right there.”

She heads straight to your house to find you lying on the couch crying your eyes out

She rushes to your side and helps you sit up and hands you a box of tissues

She just whispers things like “It’s okay,” and “You’re fine” until you calm down enough to be able to form coherent sentences

As you tell her about how it all went down, she calmly nods and listens patiently, rubbing your back if you need someone to hug but most importantly letting you get it all out without even thinking of judging you

She’s worried for you, but she keeps her own feelings down so she can support you and be your rock

After you finish talking, she gets up to make some tea and get you a blanket

If you want to keep talking, she will converse with you and perfectly walk the line between being honest about what she thinks (something she values) and not hurting your feelings (which she would feel terrible about)

You thank her for listening to you, and she shakes her head, saying that it’s only natural that she would be there for her precious friend, and she just wants you to be happy
