A Letter to Scooter Braun and people like him

The thing that bullies like Scooter do not understand is the damage they can leave behind. Those are scars Taylor will carry forever. She will move on and do some awesome Wonder Woman shit, because she’s Taylor Swift! That doesn’t mean his words and actions don’t haunt her in the moments when she’s feeling low. Because she is a human after all. And the idea of being in the same room with someone that caused her so much emotional pain makes her physically sick. Her body goes numb and all those emotions come rushing back to her violently. Now imagine all those feelings multiplied by 100 when that very same person takes your DIARIES, your method of coping with all of that emotional turmoil, and dangles it in front of your face like you’re a dog that needs to obey before you can have a tidbit of food. Now, he’s not only hurting Taylor, he’s hurting us. Taylor’s music has walked us through our worst breakups, helped is through our sleepless nights, held us while we cried in our lonely moments, helped us realize our self worth, and give us hope for the next sunrise. Those songs are her gift to us. Let’s say, hypothetically, he really does want to make nice. The first thing he can do is sell Taylor her masters with no strings attached. And then he can just leave her alone, because sometimes that’s the best thing any “former” bully can do.

I went to a local newsstand to buy Taylor’s cover of Rolling Stone, and the guy working the stand said “I thought of you when I was putting those on the shelf. I didn’t know who to call, but I thought of you.” And I told him “Anytime Taylor Swift is on a magazine, you can expect to see me here in hot pursuit, my good sir.” Any time Taylor has been on a magazine cover this past year, I would barge into his shop and ask for it. He now recognizes me as the Taylor Swift guy and let me just tell you, I feel accomplished. @taylorswift

My Lover Theories

‪I feel like a lot of the songs on Lover are reminiscent of reputation. I look at it two different ways:‬

In the LWYMMD music video, Taylor is seen cutting off the wings of an airplane named TS6. This symbolizes her putting the original idea for TS6 (what we now have as Lover) on the back burner so her various past era selves can have the floor and she can address the mess that the media has portrayed as her reputation. So, the reason reputation sounds the way it does is because Lover was at least a thought process for her before all of that drama went down.

OR

‪Lover echoes the melodies of reputation because, no matter how much you address and try to shed your reputation, it’ll always be there. Instead of letting it keep you in the dark, you can change a few things make something perceived so negatively into something beautiful.‬ Because the people that honestly care about you, the true Lovers, are going to see past all of that and walk with you into the daylight. @taylorswift I love you and I love Lover 💗💖💝💘💓💕💞
