My boys ahve gone back to their old kindy which is a half hour drive. I honestly think I'd rather drive that then put them somwhere they didn't like or I didn't trust. We tried a lovely homely community run centre near our home but Austin just didn't connect and missed his old centre. It's funny how just that alone can alter his mood and personality for the week. Anyway I enjoy the driving... I always play music because it's the only thing that settles Nash as he has loved loud music in the car since infant hood. I've been listening to a lot of Something For Kate and I find it helps me a lot with the things I think and try to process on those drives. The more I listen to SFK the more amazing I think Dempsey is as a song writer. He totally looks like one of those people who would rarely talk but when he sings he tells you so much. There is always so much inner turmoil kind of stuff you can read into in his song writing. It's been very long time since they brought an album out so to hear they are recording again makes me happy. I don't think I have been so excited about waiting for an album so much since high school. I really can't wait to see what he has written for the new album though.

I am somewhat adverse to self portraits. I hate having my photo taken ironically and that includes even if I am the photographer. I used to love looking at the portraits my Mum had done when she was young and so occasionally I get the guilts my children probably have no photos of me and take the occasional self portrait...

Steen and I started the making of this video last year. The nights were long, cold and hard. Fighting the urge to quit for the night and go and party with our friends who were a few street away was also a hard temptation to resist, but some how we managed too. 

All I can say about this video is I’m proud of it… at LOT of blood, sweat and yes actual tears (from me) went into this Video. I tried really hard to capture this massive project and condense it into just over 4 minutes… so I hope I managed to do some justice to the AMAZING job that Steen did on this wall at the Rose Street Artist Markets. 

Trying to keep this short and sweet, I guess it goes without saying how proud I am of Steen too, but i really feel like i need to add it in… He is doing incredible things and I really want to add that you need to watch his space. Exciting projects are coming up which we both cannot wait to share with you. Please keep an eye out for the latest Tattoo’s Downunder Magazine which will be hitting the stores this week too! Theres a big feature piece on Steen’s work and my photos got published (yay)
