The fact that non-fandom accounts are still talking about the carriage scene over two years later is incredible.

As much as I’d love it, I’m not as convinced as I was before that Luke would be the right choice for 007.
However, I do agree it needs to be someone who hasn’t been shoved in our faces constantly.
Luke is relatively unknown outside of the Bridgerton fandom, which would allow him to fit the “total enigma” mould mentioned in the below article.

Most of the actors were relative unknowns or stage/television actors rather than major movie stars when they were cast in the role of Bond. Only a few had established some level of mainstream fame before landing the coveted role.
Time will tell I guess as the speculation of who the next Bond will be starts to heat up.
