i think the saddest part about the glass cage scene to me is that she walks into the cage willingly but without the knowledge of what will come because she enters through the curtain as a child and she doesn't immediately realize the door she took to get here is gone now and theres no going back to where she came. so she starts to play music to those around her bc its what she loves to do and its what the magical string has given her to be happy and only begins to panic when she finally realizes the door has disappeared and there is no longer a way out. never once does she drop her instrument to escape which to me meant she wont stop making music but the idea of being trapped in this box is stifling and terrifying, which mimics the ocean scene from cardigan kinda in the sense that she will always cling to her music to survive. its such a sad metaphor for fame that you walked into that life blindly because of your love of art and now you cant leave, essentially trapping yourself. the only way she can escape is through the dreamscape world shes created to be with her lover but you always have to either return to the glass box or stay in that dreamscape to hide and idk i am very sad thinking about this scene

For those that don’t know. The 2012 AMAs with Tay was the first job I ever booked at an audition. The next job I booked was Taylor’s Red Tour. I don’t talk about it much now because it seems like a lifetime ago and I am working in different areas now. But I think about it a lot. The people I met, the places we went, the shows we did. The whole team from that tour holds a special place in my ❤️. Love you all my Red Fam 🥰 Just wanted to make an appreciation post. Thanks for bringing everything full circle for me Tay, I met my best friend because of you and had the most insane adventure ever at 19. So it’s wild to get to come back at 27 and see the wild tenacity and talent you hold again and be reminded of the insanely talented and intelligent woman you are. Thanks Tay. (X)

Today it’s been 13 years since Taylor dropped her debut album.

I’m the first to admit that Taylor didn’t even register on my radar for a couple months (because you all know how much I LOVE country), but when I did notice her I was immediately hooked, and my love for Taylor has grown exponentially since then.

I have been to every single tour she has headlined, and have had to travel to 4/5 of them. I have planned my wedding and both pregnancies around her tours. I’m a H U G E Swiftie, and I’m never going to apologize or feel bad about it. She’s an incredible songwriter, singer and performer. And an amazing human being.

She’s unabashedly my role model, and both Cal and Ava love her, too.
