Hi to you and to everyone. So yes, I'm alive. It's just the past few years have been one punch to the gut after another. Everytime I start making a comeback, something else knocks me off my feet and it doesn't seem to be getting better any time soon. Also I lost my tumblr password there for a bit and then just, didn't feel like getting it back until now.
"Okay, okayokay okay- so like, does this mean there are people who still remember the centaurs? " Well, Rider was tasked specifically with grabbing a piece of the portal key by a general at the beginning of the series, so some people remember _something_ even if maybe they don't remember all the details.
Obviously. That wasn’t the question tho- everyone remembers that something had to have happened that makes the world what it is. It wouldn’t exist in that particular way if there wasn’t something, and humans will always pass on stories of what they do remember.
My question is do they have any legends of the Centaurs. Like, they have those giant statues! Didn’t anybody make up legends about them? Was there anybody that remembered a time when the rift was open and the worlds were in tune? Does anybody remember that there are two worlds at all? Horse didn’t know what magic was, does Rider? Did anybody tell her stories of magic and the centaurs? I wanna knoooooow!!
Judging by how they're stuck to piers, I think Sunfish Merguy's background singers are barnacles.
That would definitely make a lot more sense!
I know there’s nowhere to run too but like, I’d start running. Just because Fuck All That Noise. The Nowhere King playing in the background doesn’t help.
And, I know somebody (I think @mandareeboo and please correct me if I’m wrong on this) mentioned this before, but it definitely bears repeating; The Nowhere King’s body creaks and groans like it’s in pain.
It could be that he just hasn’t moved in so goddamn long that his body isn’t used to moving anymore. Like a cracking knee when you’ve laid curled up too long (Or is that just me and my grandparents). But considering even though he’s literally made of tar and bone and his breathing is more coughing than anything else, methinks something is very very wrong with this creature’s body. Beyond the obvious state of it.
Once more the sweet clinging tune of the Nowhere King plays while the king himself reforms. He says only one thing: You… And on a terrifying cliff hanger, part one closes.
That was me! Well, at least, I made a comment on it during my liveblog (this post specifically), but I’m sure others have mentioned it.
Aha! My memory, for once, did not lead me astray this is good news~ I very much enjoyed your live blogs btw, which is probably why I remembered. Anyway, cheers to the two of us eventually seeing s2. I refuse to watch until I’ve finished this season and I’m dying with anticipation.
I’m glad you enjoy- and, oh, big same!!! I got a very brief spoiler going into the Amphibia tag a couple days ago, as well as a twenty second clip on YouTube, and I’m losing my dang MIND. I can’t even begin to imagine how the whole season will play out.
Alas, I have a lot of Security Breach 8bit-Ryan videos to catch up on, so I need to do those first.
As a longtime FMA fan I really had to see you enjoy one of my favorite series, ended up sticking around cause your posts are really great to have on my dash.
My friends told me a spoiler by accident before I scooted out of the discord channel they were talking about it in and I’m rattling the bars of my s1 cage. My heart goes out to you in sympathy cause I’m getting christmas-busy with the fam. Wishing you lots of luck and a lot of entertainment on those.
Oooh, I had a lot of fun with FMA, and a lot of peeps seemed to agree!!! It’s always rlly fun (to me, anyway) to liveblog popular media bc 9/10s of the time most everyone knows where it’s going (even when I don’t), and they seem to enjoy my blundering into it. I’m gonna swing around to the 2003 one eventually!

I really like the interesting tidbits people tell me, even if I don’t get to respond to it, the sharing and the passion of it is lovely. Though I’ve only done centaurworld since this liveblog thing is harder than it looks- lots of respect that you do it so consistently. Good luck with 2003! That one came out before the manga had finished so they did their own thing with it. It’s still a very respectable story, and I enjoyed it, but it won’t hit the same as Brotherhood.

One of these days we’re gonna get a character who realizes that being cryptic about a world-destroying entity is like, a bad thing. Today is not that day though because SOMEBODY loves being cryptic too much!!

For some reason it’s very charming to me that Rider doesn’t know what scrunchies are.

I had to press save so many times because I couldn’t see the damn screen from being an absolute waste and mess of myself ugh my heart.
This song is just so goddamn sweet!! The way Horse tries reaching out with Rider’s lullaby at first, trying to prove her identity and for a heart stopping moment, it seems like Rider really won’t recognize her before it sinks in and she finishes the song. AND THEN THEY SING NEW VERSES TOGETHER BEING HAPPY THEY’RE BACK TOGETHER!!! Rider was just as afraid of being forgotten and that Horse, who’s entire motivation was getting back to Rider, would move on and the pictures in the background of their memories- so afraid that everything they worked towards (reuniting) would be for nothing and they’d lose their family but it’s okay now cause they’re back together and never want to be apart again and UGH how dare the writers hurt me emotionally this way.
