At long last, celebrating the de-Christmasing of our home. Do you have “The List”? You know the list of celebrities for whom you get a pass should the opportunity ever present itself? I’d love to say I do (I do and clearly Keanu and Robert Downey, Jr. are tops on it) but there’s something CJ and I know about me. A few years ago, I got my dad tickets to Steel City Con (a Comic Con in PGH). Naturally we went with him. I found out Andrew McCarthy was there and I decided I just had to meet him. So we got in line and the closer we got, the less I could feel my appendages. We finally get up to the table, Andrew says hi and I reply, “I can’t feel my fingers.” Needless to say, if I ever had the chance to actually DO IT with someone on my list, I’d be like one of those fainting goats. So I’ll just stick with the fantasy. Tangential fun fact: Andrew McCarthy was in “Less Than Zero” with RDJ. A few folks have asked me about the sun sails we got for the deck. We picked them up from @amazon and they’re awesome! They filter the sun enough to make the deck habitable during the day but they don’t hold water, which means they don’t get weighed down by rain. We also had pretty severe thunderstorms on Sunday and they were solid through the whole thing. I’ve been thinking about doing a roundup of the places I’ve been shopping and some of the things we’ve been picking up over the last few months. Would you check out something like that?
