the moment Valko hears you crying, he’s by your side.

it doesn’t matter if he has work, or if his pack needs him, or even if he’s having his own crisis.

nothing is more important than his mate.

“c’mere, short stack,” he says, pulling you into his lap.

he already has his ears and tail out, wrapping his arms around you tightly, his tail landing in your lap so you can run your hands through the fur to calm yourself.

Valko keeps his head buried in the crook of your neck, tracking your scent as he holds you. he doesn’t push for answers, doesn’t ask what’s wrong. he just waits until your tears are under control enough for you to speak again.

“I feel so silly,” you say, still petting his tail. “they’re just pixels. why am I crying this much?”

Valko nuzzles you, readjusting you on his lap so as much of him is pressed against you as possible.

“pixels or not, that doesn’t make them any less real to your brain. or to your heart. not when you’ve loved them as much as you have.”

you sniffle, trying to pull yourself together, but Valko doesn’t move. after a while, he asks you to pull your phone out and show him your favorite game.

“tell me everything about them, short stack. I want to love them just as much as you do. they can even join the pack.”

so you do.

you don’t know how long the two of you stay on the floor, you in his lap, as you walk Valko through all of your favorite characters and storylines. but it doesn’t matter.

he’s not in a hurry. he’ll be there as long as you need, even if you’re there all night.

you’re his mate, after all. and he’s never going to leave you.

a/n: happy tourettes awareness month!! may 15th - june 15th! i never see tics talked about/ written about (bc it's niche i think LMAO!) so i thought i'd do it myself :3 hopefully this will be pushed to anyone who can see themselves in this, i wanted to give us a teeny bit of representation hehe. happy awareness month to any of my tourettesiblings !!! doesn't include sylus soz

reader is not going till adhere to every tourettes experience- i haven't lived them all, i can only pull from my experiences :3

xavier, wc: 394

you’re used to hearing people talk about your tics behind your back, whether it be asking others in hushed voices why you were making faces or laughing and making fun of you. it, unfortunately, came with the territory of having a visible disorder, people don’t tend to care enough to learn about it and make assumptions based on what they see.

work was no different. your coworkers mostly kept their comments behind your back, but they occasionally slipped through the cracks.

a new hunter hadn’t noticed that you and xavier had walked into the break room, his back to you as he talked to another hunter. “i mean, how do they even function like that? surely it’s not safe, how can you dodge a wanderer when you can’t keep your eyes forward?”

another hunter laughs and nods. “it makes them an easy target. maybe xavier helped them cheat through the entrance exams.”

the two laughed until you cleared your throat, raising an eyebrow at them when they turned to face you.

both hunters look behind you, eyes landing on xavier, and they backtrack. “oh, we weren’t talking about you-”

“yes you were.” xavier interrupts, his head tilts slightly but his voice retaine its usual calmness. “you must have never watched them train if you think they only passed the hunters exams because i helped them cheat.”

the two remain quiet, embarrassed flushes rises on their cheeks and necks. they stand with their hands crossed in front of them, looking up at xavier anxiously.

“they’re perfectly capable of this job and anything else they decide to set their mind to. having a disability doesn’t make someone useless- it’s important that you don’t treat them like they are.”

“of course, i’m so sorry xavier.” one of the hunters says, echoed by the other.

xavier's brows wrinkle slightly in confusion. “why are you apologizing to me? i’m not the one you insulted.”

the hunters turn to you and blabber out apologizes, which you begrudgingly accept, then scamper off somewhere to lick their wounds.

xavier’s hand meets the small of your back, his thumb rubs in soothing circles, letting you know that he’s there, but not babying you. never babying you.

“ready for our mission?” xavier asks you with a grin, not asking you how you are because he knows you’re perfectly fine.

you smile and nod. “ready.”

rafayel, wc: 367

rafayel had a winking problem. not one that you judged him for, of course, given your own winking problem (brought to you by your tourettes), but a problem nonetheless.

he’d only started doing it recently and it was frequent. out at a fancy restaurant? he’s winking at you. walking on the beach? another wink. laying in bed cuddling each other? you guessed it.

you didn’t necessarily mind it at first, thinking he was flirting with you, but he just… kept doing it.

even when the situation wasn’t romantic he would still wink at you- like after a long night out resulting in your head in rafayel’s lap on your cold bathroom floor.

you decided one day to count how many times he would wink at you in a day, curiosity pulling at you.

by dinner time, he was up to 15 winks.

you were stirring a pot of soup and chatting with rafayel when he chuckled quietly and winked at you, a sweet lovesick smile on his face. sighing, you let go of the soup spoon and face him fully.

“my love, you know i would never judge you, but why do you keep doing that?” you ask, unable to quell your curiosity.

rafayel places a hand on his hip and regards you, his head tilted slightly and his purple hair falling in front of his eyes. “doing what?”

you sigh, hoping you don’t offend him. “winking at me.”

“i’m just winkin back at you, cutie.” he says, smiling and toying with a piece of your hair. “i’m allowed to flirt back with my partner, aren’t i?”

you take in his words and double over laughing, forcing your words out. “that’s one of my tics, i’ve not been winking at you this whole time- you’ve been accidentally mocking me.”

rafayel’s smile drops and his face instantly pales. “no! no, i haven’t been mocking you on purpose, i’m sorry my pearl- i was just trying to flirt with you!”

rafayel’s begging and apologies continue on throughout the night, him on his knees at your feet while you cook, his hands on your knees and his pretty eyes looking up at you- all while you laugh in his face.

zayne, wc: 566

having tourettes meant having some days better than others. some days you didn’t even notice your tics, but other days… were like today.

from the second you opened your eyes this morning, you knew it was going to be a rough day. your breakfast lay scattered across the floor from where you unintentionally shoved it across the counter and your hair remains tangled, unable to run the brush through your hair without smacking yourself in the head with the hard plastic.

seeing that it was no use in trying to do much of anything, you decided to take some medicine to kill the headache forming in all areas of your skull and try to nap it off- some help that did.

hours passed and you’d yet to fall asleep. wonderful. your tics hadn’t eased up in the slightesr, if anything they’d gotten worse, just like the pounding in your head.

of all days for this to happen it just had to happen on the one day off you managed to snag with zayne.

he’d been called into the hospital early for an emergency, but his text promised he’d be back by 6 in time to get ready for your dinner date.

the apartment door clicked shut exactly at 6 and you jumped out of bed, rushing to your nightstand in an attempt to brush your hair before zayne saw you in this state.

unfortunately, the only thing zayne saw was you hitting yourself in the head with your brush and your fist smacking your side unintentionally.

he frowned and walked over to you, gently taking the brush from your hands and pressing a kiss to your forehead. “bad day?”

you huff and stay facing away from him, face red with shame. “it’s fine. i’m getting ready and then we can go.”

while walking into the bathroom, you run into the doorway as your headache, now turned migraine, has decided to take up right behind your eyes, whiting out most of your vision.

“come lay down with me.” zayne says gently, his hands on your waist as he directs you to the bed.

you groan and dig your heels into the floor. “no! zayne, we’re going to be late for dinner if we don’t get ready-”

zayne hums and pulls you to sit beside him on the bed, fingers rubbing at the area on your ribs that he knows you hit often when your attacks get bad. “i… don’t mean to disappoint you, my love, but i’m feeling a little tired. would you be opposed to us staying in for the night? i’ll order delivery.”

you glare in his direction, knowing he’s not tired in the slightest and just doing this to make you feel better about needing to stay home.

“mmh. fine. but only because you're tired.” you lay down and pull zayne down on top of you, the pressure helping your body relax.

zayne cradles your head to him and huffs out a laugh. “of course.”

for the next several hours, zayne stayed with you through your tic attack, comforting you. once the food was delivered, he fed you small bites so you wouldn’t end up spilling the food like you did with your breakfast- which he cleaned up in the kitchen.

zayne never once made you feel bad for canceling plans because of your tourettes, always helping you manage them the best he could.

caleb, wc: 343

caleb was in your shared kitchen refilling your waterbottle while you animatedly tell your friends the rules to a game on the tv. he smiled at your excitement.

gideon walked into the kitchen and punched caleb in the shoulder in greeting, refilling his own cup with soda. “hey, man.”

caleb nodded. “whats up gid?”

gideon paused while screwing the cap back onto the soda bottle. “can i ask you something out of innocent curiosity?”

“mmhm, what’s up?” caleb screwed your waterbottle lid back on and turned to his friend, head tilted while he waits.

“why do they keep making faces?”

caleb’s brows furrowed in thought, turning to look at you. you were just smiling and laughing, not doing anything strange. “what, smiling? i dunno, why do you smile, gid?” he joked, thinking gideon was messing with him.

gideon scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, feeling like an ass for even bringing it up. “no, no, not the smiling- the smiling is great, if you ask me everyone should smile-”

“aaaany day now.” caleb drawls out, smiling at his friends awkward rambling.

gideon sighed deeply and came out with it. “i mean how they scrunch their nose and stretch their mouth open. there’s nothing wrong with it, of course, i was just curious as to why they do it.”

caleb turned back to look at you, zeroing in on your features. sure enough, you were doing the things gideon mentioned and more. he’d spent so much time with you that he didn’t even notice your tics anymore, they were just… a part of you.

this was something about caleb that you appreciated deeply. he didn’t treat you any differently because of your tourettes, and he didn’t bring attention to them.

it was comforting knowing that you could be unapologetically yourself around caleb and he wouldn’t bat an eye or laugh at you. it was a relief that you didn’t have to worry about him mocking you or talking down on you because of your disability.

caleb explained your situation to gideon, the end.

a/n pt2: can you tell i ran out of energy with caleb's? i hurried up and 'finished' it for this hehe. i couldn't for the life of me think of a unique idea for sylus :,) also ik this is not my best work at all, especially caleb's. i'm still trying to connect with him again after losing him hmmmmm.

"kitten." you looked up from your flute of champagne, turning your head over to where sylus was looking at you, a hint of mischief in his eyes.

"yes?"

"would you like to wager on a bet?"

you cock a brow, looking at him in intrigue, "what bet?"

"i bet you a hundred dollars... that i could kiss you without ever touching your lips."

"kiss me... without touching my lips?" your brows furrow in confusion. "how?"

sylus chuckles, deep, hearty, loud enough to make your insides flutter.

"that's the point of the bet, sweetie."

he had a point.

"okay." you say, perking up in your seat, already giddy at the thought of having a hundred dollars for doing nothing. "show me the hundred."

he huffs out a laugh before placing his black card down. "let's raise the stakes."

you say nothing, guarded by his arrogance. you take the black card from him, keeping it in the garter that wraps around your thigh, and your body turns to face his.

"alright... how?"

sylus looms over you. his body invades your personal spaces as he leans down.

you can feel his eyes stare down at your waiting lips,

without saying anything else, you feel sylus' soft lips meet yours, a noise of confusion escapes you, yet sylus doesn't pull away as one of his hands settles on your back.

you let him control the kiss, pulling away for half a second only to dive back.

his kisses tasted of the wine he drank, your nose was flooded by his expensive cologne, and his hands were splayed on your back, as if not willing to let you go.

the two of you pull away, breath unsteady as you try to catch it.

the mechanics of the bet were still unclear to you, not knowing how sylus would've planned to kiss you without touching your lips, you were about to ask, but the smirk on his face only answered the question.

"worth every penny."

it was common for sylus to manhandle you. not aggressively, he would rather be shot dead than ever be aggressive towards you. he just needs to have you near him, your weight soothing his soul.

you’ve long given up protesting him. if he wants to move you around then by all means. it’s not like he would struggle, his evol would kick in if he somehow didn’t want to move you himself.

a warm hand wraps around your ankle, a brief breeze passing over you as you easily slip down the silk sheets. sylus stands at the end of the bed, hand still on your ankle as he stares down at you.

placing your phone down you give him your attention, “yes my dear?” a small smile graces his lips and he holds up a pair of fuzzy socks. he unwraps them and slowly works one up your foot, “it’s too cold outside, you need to wear these.”

you rest your unsocked foot on his hip and wiggle your toes against the warm material of the sock. sylus repeats the action, finger rubbing the inside of the band before his hands slide up to your calves. “you should be wearing pants.” he lightly scolds.

“why would i when i have my big dragon to keep me warm?” you gently shuffle your feet on his abdomen earning you a chuckle. something flashes in his eyes, “oh yeah?” and before you know it he’s wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled you up.

your arms wrap around his neck tightly as he spins around, letting himself fall onto his back, “then let your dragon warm you up.” he whispers as big hands creep under your shirt.

your fingers come up to rub at your temples, eyes closing to relieve some strain. a subtle throbbing makes itself known, a little warning of the headache that is surely building.

you acknowledge the soft padding of footsteps getting closer to you. “it’s late sweetie.” sylus quietly speaks, eyeing the way you try to relieve tension. a soft sigh leaves your lips, eyes opening to take him in.

“m’sorry, i’m almost done with this report.” your gaze drifts down to the stack of papers on the desk before going back to him, “promise.” sylus taps his fingers against the chair in thought and you stretch your tight muscles out, bones popping.

sylus pushes the chair back, red mist swirling around your body and lifting you into the air as he takes your seat. your body gets placed down into his lap and he wraps his sturdy arms around you.

“take all the time you need sweetie.” he mumbles into your ear. picking your pen up, you get back to work, stress leaving your body as you finish up in silence, sylus’s arms tight around your waist.

sylus’s chest is tight. recent deals falling through, his car had given up on him randomly, the twins had been more rambunctious recently leaving remnants of their ideas around the base, and he hadn’t seen you in two weeks.

with a cloudy mind and heavy heart he made his way through the base to his room, back pressing against the door once it was closed. he could feel another presence in the room but he didn’t make a move for his gun. he knew who it was.

sylus opened his eyes, greedily taking in the sight of you sprawled across his bed, askew socks on your feet, too big boxers and a very loose shirt hung off of your body. you had sat up at his entrance, watching him calm himself for a minute.

you beckoned him closer, an invisible pull bringing him right in front of you. “hard day?” you questioned, hands making quick work of his clothes. sylus grunted and helped your efforts, tossing to the side the fabric pulled off, “hard week.”

you simply smiled at him and when he was undressed, wrapped your arms around his waist, face burying itself into his stomach. he sighed out a breath and rubbed your arms, enjoying the feeling of you finally with him.

much to his dismay, you pulled away, cold immediately filling the space you left. you held onto his hand as you made yourself comfy against the mountain of pillows, “c’mere love.”

sylus crawled between your legs and laid down on you. he maneuvered your legs to press against him and brought your arms around his back, letting out a pleased noise as you squeezed him tight.

resting his head on your chest, his eyes fluttered closed, heartbeat slowly falling in time with yours. your fingers tangled into his hair and you breathed deeply, watching as tension left sylus, his breath evening out.

Apparently Lads players in CN are organizing to not spend the first 3 days of the banner. Not only for Sylus and Caleb, but also because Infold is separating the pulls rewards and being greedy, if player let this pass they will accept this as the fandom not caring about them separating cosmetics from outfits and making rewards more difficult to obtain in future banners.

For the upcoming banner (Tomorrow's catch-22), Infold separated the hair from the outfit so people need to pull more (85 for the first) for a cosmetic that should be included in the crate, like Caretaker banner with the butler outfit, ears and tail.
