My soul ached to be a mom. My arms felt heavy with the weight of infertility. There seemed no end in sight. My heart seemed, forever broken. This kid changed everything. He made me a mom. My years of loving him and caring for him have slowly healed over all of the brokenness. 6 years ago today, a judge smiled at us, watched us sign papers and proudly announced that, "From this day forward, you are a forever family!" I took my first deep breath in what seemed like forever. I'm a mom, I'm a mom, he's going to call me mom.
