Assassination and the consequences of power and ambition. Conniving conspiracies and plots. Civil war and change from the traditional way of life. Legacy and cycles of history. This story allows Cleopatra and Cesar to have a voice in this historical fiction which was been lost to time. Cleopatra must tread carefully in the world of Men and political power as she struggles to reclaim her rightful throne. This story is a rather lengthy and intense read and discusses politics, civil war, reformations, the implications of a Roman dictator and betrayal. It will go over the relationship of Cleopatra and Cesar and how that impacted Rome and Egypt. Their legacies still are carried through the passage of time. Cesar shaped Rome through policies and consolidation of power. This book follows Cesar in his attempt to make Rome adapt to change. Their impact cannot be underestimated. While the topic of politics is not enticing to some this was an interesting read

A Certain Hunger by Chelsea Summers is a commentary of the food industry through a unique perspective. Through the eyes of a cannibalism Serial killer, we the reader follow her story. Dorothy is a well established food critic who loves sex and an ambrosial meal. She is a narrator who can be difficult to read about and she genuinely enjoys the sound of her own voice. The narrative is not entirely linear as she reflects back into her past and childhood at time. As we follow Dorothy and her tale we learn about the butchery that occurs in the meat industry
