welcome to faker fest 2025, a fic and art fest dedicated to lee sanghyeok (faker)!

how it works - all writers and artists are welcome to join and you'll have around two months to complete a faker-centric fic or artwork - your work can be romantic or platonic but must primarily feature faker. you can create the work using your own ideas, or base your work on the list of prompts for this fest - works will be revealed anonymously starting from may 2, 2025 - on may 7, the works will be de-anoned and creators will be revealed - the fest will mainly be run on ao3 and info/updates/admin will be posted on this tumblr

schedule - sign-up period: feb 3 to 28, 2025 - creator deadline: may 1, 2025 - reveal period: may 2 to 7, 2025 *all deadlines are at 11:59 pm (or 23:59) in korea standard time (kst)

fic requirements - at least 1500 words long, there is no word maximum - all ratings from general to explicit are accepted - must be complete by the deadline (wips are not allowed) - must be posted on ao3 to the fest collection and tagged appropriately

art requirements - can be digital or traditional but must be created from scratch (traced, edited, AI-generated etc. works are not accepted) - all ratings from general to explicit are accepted - must be a completed work in your usual style (i.e. rough sketches would generally not be considered complete) - you can post your work on ao3 or a platform of choice. if you choose to post outside of ao3, please ensure that your work remains anonymous during the fest period

bonus! - participants who complete at least 1 work will have the option of entering a random draw for a set of fan-made (NOT official!) photocards - there will be three (3) winners and the winners will be asked to share their mailing address with the mod so that the photocards can be mailed to them - details about the photocards will be announced later!

Someone saw me as an announcer on ITV and asked if I would join them in opening OGN - which hadn't even been created. That person said that games could, one day, become sports. They said crazy things about how games could unite young people all over the world. But I believed that crazy sound.

Jeon Yong-jun is a name synonymous with Korea's League of Legends scene. Currently in his 23rd year of working as a game caster, he has been with the LCK ever since its inception as The Champions in 2012 and remains one of the most prolific figures in esports.

new element - zeus, while having played a few games (including his debut) for t1 in 2021, remained a sub and did not attend worlds that year despite the team's qualification. during the stove league season, he moved up to become t1's top laner and joined the rest of OFGK as a starting player.

the last to be caught - keria spent his academy and rookie years on drx; thus, he was the last person out of the zofgk roster to join the t1 organization.

he ruined my twitch chat for eight years. i had this question asked for EIGHT YEARS... that's my other legacy. you've got legacies like pentakills, you know, i got legacies like that.

basically a few of the big scarra memes from long, long ago, because i still think they're funny as fuck and unfortunately i'm resurrecting them (sorry scarra).

when looking at their overall head-to-head game score, the matchup between the two seems pretty even. however, their bo5 game scores tell a different story.

in spring 2020 playoffs - keria's debut lck split and their first bo5 - his team, drx, won 3-2 against dwg, beryl's team. that summer, they met again, this time in the finals: beryl, noticing how keria cried after winning the previous match, remarked that he'd turn the young support's tears to ones of sadness.

drx lost that bo5.

keria lost the next four bo5s he played against beryl - 2020 worlds quarterfinals. 2021 summer finals. 2021 worlds semifinals. and perhaps, the most famous of all - the 2022 worlds finals. it seemed as if beryl won the matches that mattered most, and even keria's own worlds win in 2023 didn't end the streak: they didn't play a single bo5 against each other for the entire year.

keria's fortune turned in 2024, however, where he won against beryl in both the summer playoffs and ended the four-year streak. a few weeks later, he won again in the lck's regional qualifier, clinching the last spot for the world championship.

Why is technetium so rare?

Technetium can only be produced artificially because most forms or isotopes of it (atoms of the same chemical element with different numbers of neutrons) have an excess of neutrons, making it very unstable

after winning the 2016 summer split, the tigers marched into worlds with one goal: the summoner's cup.

as fate would have it, they would run into skt t1, the defending world champions that beat their very team in the finals the year before. with a nearly-unchanged roster, it was also the first time a winning team made it back to the championship the following year - but rox had largely stayed the same, too, the exception being the addition of their young, star jungler peanut, and they were ready to settle the score, once and for all.

rox lost 2-3 in what many call the greatest bo5 to have ever been played. shortly following worlds 2016, the entire team went their separate ways, with smeb leaving for the kt superteam, kuro heading for afreeca freecs, and the ever-together pray-gorilla botlane making their way to longzhu. peanut, their young star jungler, would go on to join skt t1, the very team that ended their worlds run.

there will never be another team like the rox tigers.

nihonium. faker & skt t1.

most isotopes of nihonium decay incredibly quickly, but a few hold anomalously long lives: theorized to be some of the few superheavy element isotopes within an "island of stability," they hold a "magic number" of combined protons and neutrons.

it's rather rare when a player stays on a roster for more than a few years, much less a set of players. for skt t1, it tends to be the norm - every player pictured here has played for four years or more with the organization.

faker, the center of both the golden era and zofgk roster, is on his twelfth year in skt t1 and is contracted for at least another year. he is the player with the longest continuous and overall time in any single organization.
