âItâs always a pleasure to see you, Leslieâ Douglas said, scrunching his nose a smidge as if he didnât even believe his own statement, halting his motion from docking his boat âthough I am very concerned to why you actually chose to come here to see me-â
âConcerned? No need tâbe, sir.â
Leslie leaned against one of the dock posts, a little bit dazed from seasickness. He was dressed rather nicely, wearing an ironed black tailcoat over a neatly-hemmed white shirt, and seemed largely oblivious to Douglasâ lukewarm expression. He clicked his tongue, wiping his misted glasses on his shirt sleeve. Lord, was Halifax always this damned foggy? The smell of fish and brine didnât seem to help matters much for him, either.
âJust here for an informal visit, nothinâ at all to be worried about.â Les hummed, offering a rather strained smile. âFrom what I hear, youâve been less than enthused about the actions taken by your governor, and in regards to this whole âConfederationâ prospect in general, seeinâ as how distant East and I are from yourself as a colony. And so, Iâd like to get to know you better, as a personification. What do you say?â

â |Â What is your museâs favorite season? What about their least favorite season, if they have one?
Leslieâs favourite season is spring. His winters can be hellish and his summers very muggy and humid, so heâs developed a sort of preference for milder weather. Spring in Ontario is generally pretty warm and a bit breezy â one of the best kinds of weather, in his opinion.
As for his least favourite season, itâs a well-established fact among the rest of Canada that Les hates winter (& cold weather in general) with a fiery passion. Other provinces & territories like to tease him about his inability to cope with the snow, with most of his population concentrated in an area with comparably milder winters, but heâll usually just brush it off or ignore them.
