hi, i’m bishop, and i have an unhealthy obsession with cults and religious groups, the paranormal and unexplainable, and what awaits on the ‘other side’. this post is just meant to be a collection of things that will likely serve as influence here. these are really just things i'd like to talk about, and i intend to use this blog as an excuse to do just that.                     though it’s comically long, this is far from an exhaustive list                     CALL IT PART 1.           * content warning :   the following categories contain topics and discussions that may be triggering to some. when i say ‘influence’, i mean that this is a mixed bag of things that i found interesting, things that shook me to my core, and things that enraged me. even books and media listed are not necessarily recommendations, so much as they are things that impacted me and my thought process in one way or another. many of these things, i despise. there is no bias system used in organizing these materials; it’s simply a collection of relevant events, media, places, and people. there is some ‘good’ mixed in with the ‘bad’, but as it stands, discretion is advised.

What you need to know about this blog:

This is an independent roleplay blog for a personal interpretation of the mythic figure, LUCIFER. I don’t want to give too much information on what that means ( for this blog ) because I kind of hoped to learn about them with you. Through the blog’s run, I plan to expand on everything as need be. This blog was made with the intention of growth, and so, from nothing shall it begin. I’ll be using three primary names for this muse ( Lucifer, Phosphorus, and Apollyon ) and a handful of rotating faceclaims—the primary of these being Hale Appleman. Each of their faces represents a specific era of my life, based on the character I wrote with that corresponding face. It’ll make more sense later; I promise. My interpretation won’t have any direct ties to Supernatural, Lucifer, or any other shows or fandoms featuring Lucifer as a character. Though some aspects may be explored and integrated later in this blog’s lifespan, that’s not my current goal. “SO HOW DO I INTERACT WITH LUCIFER?” I don’t know. How would your muse react to meeting the Devil? Where would they be most likely meet someone with that moniker and reputation? Would it be in their lowest lows or the height of their existence that they make contact? It all depends on your muse, and I would love to hash that out with you.

Oh, how they love their torches and pitchforks. And John is nothing if not consistent in his mob mentality—always a leader, but only where that leadership means little more than destruction. The wind has always carried the smoke of kings who built their thrones on the bones of those who had no choice but to live for them. Those kings burned just the same.

Shame, though. They could have been such GOOD FRIENDS; if only John had aligned himself with proper ministry, rather than the pain and mayhem of a false god. The thought inspires upon the lips of the Adversary the slightest hint of a saddened smile. This man could have been so much. He could have taken on the world, and for a moment, he almost did. Now, he stands dogmatic for a cause not even his own. A pity, really.

I’m working on changing the way I approach roleplay and my balance between it and myself. At this point in my life, I’ve fully accepted that my only interest re: social media is when it involves writing, and I don’t really care for most other platforms. A lot has happened since we last really spoke, and I’m not sure I’m the same person I was back then. So, let me reintroduce myself. I’m supposed to be bathing, but instead I’m reading Genesis and thinking about how Adam and Eve were caught because they made themselves clothes. God out there like, “You were supposed to be naked. What happened.” Also the fact that he was hanging out in the garden with them but was still like “Adam needs a friend ☹️”

And then the LORD God said, “Fuck you, Cain, for doing the farming and only having produce to give me.” Cain complains and gets the response, “Stop being a bitch about it????” I forgot how much I love the Bible. I also like the implication that God has no idea what death is like. He just knows it happens. The way Cain speaks to him afterward is hilarious. “Wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy.”

          Most  days,  arguing  with  John  is  like  trying  to  empty  the  ocean  with  an  eyedropper.  Worse  are  the  times  he  gets  like  this—externalizing  that  inner  monologue  without  the  help  of  his  ears  to  act  as  brakes  for  when  it  begins  to  veer.  Bless  his  optimism,  but  it  would  damn  him  today.

          Warranted  though  it  was,  the  repetition  is  sharper  than  intended.  No  doubt,  the  last  words  between  them  will  be  loaded  with  the  same  reckless  ambition,  and  his  response  would  hold  no  less  panic.  Between  the  outburst  and  the  short  time  it  takes  to  close  the  distance  between  them,  his  voice  softens.  Still,  his  eyes  burn.                  ‘      You’ve  made  your  head  PRICELESS,  and  you  think  they  wouldn’t  cut  it  from  your  shoulders  to  spite  all  that  we’ve  done?      ’
