Day 14/30 - Autism Acceptance

April 14th: What do you like about being autistic?

I have and will “exploit” my disability (it counts as both a disability and just a small difference) even though most times I can’t because whatever allows that isn’t something I like

Yes I know what exploit means, I mean I’m gonna just take the benefits if they could benefit me, usually they don’t so it’s more of a joke than anything.

Different perspectives and having a different though process

Certain artistic things are easier for me.

Day 13/30 - Autism Acceptance

April 13th: How much preparation and planning do you need before doing new things, or even for familiar things? Do you need to be totally prepared ahead of time or are you more comfortable with being spontaneous/just going for it? Does it vary for you depending on the thing or the day?

I will personally fight anyone who tries to spontaneously get me to join a plan without at least a week in between. I have to do so much to mentally prepare myself to hang out. Even familiar things like going to the park or something, I need to prepare.

I have to be totally prepared, other than knowing what I want to wear (sometimes I do plan that too), I need to know all.

It can vary a bit on if it’s a weekend or weekday but barely. Weekends loosen time constraints.

Day 12/30 - Autism Acceptance

April 12th : Is there anything you find hard to do because of being autistic? Is there anything that you find easy?

There are some // that stand for tw, just general ones. Also sorry I’ve been busy, they changed the schedule at school.

Other than socializing and cleaning (texture), eating and non-technological things.

So eating wise, everything has to be a similar texture at least 60 percent similar. Only because several textures have different registers to me. Smooth textures have to be completely smooth, crunchy peanut butter is the worst thing to exist other than unseasoned chicken salad. If it’s chewy and I assumed it would be soft or firm, I will cry. If it crunches and it’s soft, I will cry. Immediately and just cannot function.

Also I cant write on paper, I hate highlighters. So many things. Mostly because I anticipate fuck up. Glossy sided papers suck ass. When pen metal hits paper, I wanna // vomit. Pencil wood is genuinely painful. Sometimes mechanical pencils make this god awful crunchy screech. Terrible. So I type everything, typing is one thing all the time and I like the sound.

Now I find few things easy. Finding the meaning behind texts and movies. Focusing on certain details when needed. Puzzles <3. And sudoku. Not many things.

Day 11/30 - Autism Acceptance

April 11th: What are your thoughts/feelings about masking (a term for when autistic people hide their autistic traits)? Do you mask?

Masking stresses me out, gonna be honest. I wish I didn’t have to but I always get ‘bullied’ when I don’t. Usually my masking is just staying quiet and really still (trying not to stim) and talking with forced emotion. Mostly forced emotion. Also I can’t talk to myself, I cant make jokes about my interests, I cant ramble. (all unless with friends). It’s so tiring, and people wonder why I fall asleep after parties. So yeah I do mask and that’s how I feel.

white and non black psychotics and schizos will talk about how harmful it is to make jokes and fuck around with their mental illness but will turn around and laugh at the "crazy loud black woman" on the street or in a video, yall think people terrorizing psychotic black people esp black women and black homeless people is funny but that shit literally gets us killed when we get the cops called on us for being "suspicious and dangerous looking"
