It really annoyed me that they didn’t make Rita’s outfit look more like Bridget did in her youth once she turned good so I took a stab at it.
I think ruling Wonderland is really taxing, So Bridget’s definitely going gray and has much darker hair then when she was a teen (but it’s not quite red). And despite her sweetness, the design still has a certain edge to it as her rule requires a firm hand in order to succeed. Bridget’s not a push over when it comes to her Empire.
She’s firm but fair, the first Queen of Hearts in centuries who’s never beheaded someone yet is still one of the most respected rulers to ever come out of Wonderland.

So ya Bruce and Brandy run a cafe/diner type thing in the sitcom au that Clay and Viva frequent hehe, Clay and Bruce are still v close in this au... sibling who's your best friend :]
And don't worry Bruce and Brandy's kids are still here! They're just funk/pop hybrids now :P

This is part of the Trolls opening sequence. Concept art and fabrication by Me, AFX animation by Erik Tillmans and storyboards by Joel Crawford. Each asset was hand built with felt, paper and embroidery.
My process started with presenting an animated gif to directors, Mike Mitchell and Walt Dorhn. Painting and working with the animation tool in Photoshop allowed me to design fluidly. I evaluated the story boards to plan out camera movement and work out character action. I knew the camera needed to push in through the dead Troll atop the cage, so I designed the town path to compliment this movement. Next, I focused on the buildings and set dressing. Bubbly poo shapes felt appropriate for Bergentown, while my colors needed variation within the muted palette. The real challenge of this piece was to find the exact materials that reflected the tonal range in grays and browns. I reserved my blacks for the cage and full saturation for the Troll Tree as it represents happiness. The result was three separate backgrounds, six hero buildings that could be flipped and duplicated in interesting ways, three Troll Trees, cages, and various set dressing assets. Each asset was photographed separately, edited and composited. For each scrapbook peice, I would deliver a psd packet to Erik to animate.

Any tips on how to draw Poppy's hair without it looking like a legit tree? I'm struggling so hard and it's making it impossible to draw any Broppy art because of it 😔
I finally got some time to put together somewhat of an answer for this?? Again, I'm not so great at explaining things so I'll do my absolute best!
I used to struggle so much with drawing her ponytail, a lot of my older art bothers me tbh because I don't like how I approached drawing her ponytail. I tried looking up images from the movies and even the video game, and I experimented with a few different methods. I actually found that the Poppy ornaments I have on my desk served as the most solid reference material I could have. So I studied the figure and have been incorporating that into my newer works, and it absolutely changed how I approached drawing it.
Here are some photos I took from different angles to really show off the shapes, second image is how I visualize it when drawing. Thinking of the hair as "pieces" or "tufts" really help, and breaking them down between foreground and the background.
Try practicing off these images and see if it shifts the way you draw hair! Tracing helps too because it helps your brain just figure out shape language. After doing some traceovers, I then just tried sketching some very quick Poppy pony's and it already felt a lot better

I personally feel like thinking of the hair this way really sells the volume of it, as well as showing that it's soft and fluffy as opposed to strands of hair.
But yeah! That's how I do it. The more you draw it over and over the more it starts to become natural!
I finished up character sheets for the Brozone fam for this au. This post will pretty much explain the AU cause I ended up changing it a lot from the first post.
In short, this AU is a combination of various au's/headcanons for Brozone, with the main ones being the brothers reuniting and being half Pop half Rock. The story mainly takes place almost a decade post Brozone breakup where the family reunites after Volt and John Dory find each other. I wanted to draw what the fam looks like around that time. Also included young Volt and River for reference.
Firstly, Volt is no longer a jerk but actually a caring dad who tried his best to be there for his family. Of course, he makes mistakes that cause a lot of angst and trauma for everybody :) But dw they all get therapy once they reunite. The first two movies still happen with some changes. World Tour would get the most changes since the Brozone fam is mixed genre however, it isn't fleshed out yet. Band Together is still up in the air on whether it happens.
I'm really into this au that I wanna make a fic for it but not sure yet. Anyway, I give you cliffnotes of the main plot points.
Voltage (Volt) is a Punk Rock troll who becomes a bounty hunter after leaving Volcano Rock City. River is a pop troll with an adventurous spirit who leaves the Troll Tree to see what else is out there in the real world. Volt saves River from another bounty hunter and soon become adventure buddies, slowly turning into a romance before starting a family.
After an accident that almost gets them hurt, they decide it best if River raises the boys in the Troll Tree while Volt still goes out and does more bounties. At first it made sense but as the years goes on the situation became more difficult to justify. Volt remained a constant presence in the boys' lives but would be gone for months on end. River wants Volt to stop and stay with them while Volt insists on staying away for their safety, resulting in River leaving the boys to go after Volt, but not before leaving behind Branch's egg.
The Brozone breakup still happens, River coming back to only Branch. The events up to the Great Escape happen; Rosiepuff gets eaten, Branch goes grey, etc. River and Branch settle down in the village and try to help one another. River holds immense guilt for the loss of her family but also her feeling like she's failing Branch who hasn't gotten his colors back. They come to accept this and continue on, supporting one another and helping them through their baggage (mainly River helping Branch deal with his trauma). It isn't until the village has established itself that they start work on the bunker.
It isn't until about decade after the breakup that Volt and John Dory find each other in Lonesome Flats. During that time Volt had spent a few years on the run, trying to tie up loose ends and end some debts before he finally decided to the return to his family for good. He came back to the tree post-Trollstice and assumed the worse after discovering what had happened. He spends the rest of his life living alone and depressed, going back to his old ways when he stumbles upon John Dory, who through him, finds about what happened after he had left.
After a long talk, they decide to find their family and hope they are alive. They find Floyd, Bruce, Clay, and lastly Branch and River. The reunion is bittersweet, with Branch being the one glad that his family is back together while River is appalled to see Volt again. After a huge long talk with everyone, they decide to put in the effort to fix for their family for the sake of Branch who ended up paying the price for all of their mistakes. Despite the anger, frustration, and bitter feelings accumulated over the years, both River and Volt find they still care for each other. While they prioritize their family, they both agree to try again and get back together. It's slow and doesn't happen until months after they came back into their lives but after some time they get married and become the family they had wanted to be.
Branch struggles to wrap his head around everything but soon heals from his trauma. He doesn't get his color back until much later, not all at once but slowly. He comes around to having a dad and soon becomes bonded real quick with Volt when they find their similarities. They all get a happy end :)
