Emmeline followed him, standing up and straightening herself out. She glanced down at her body - thank Merlin she wasn’t pregnant, she would have been absolutely beside herself if she found out she would have to sport a baby bump with her uniform. “Want me to carry you?”
Ludovic laughed and grabbed her hand. “I’d love to see you try.”

Cassandra had never gone for siblings before, but perhaps there was a first time for everything. She had never felt such an intense pull to one person, and that had to mean something. Anything before was a distant memory - the boys at Durmstrang, Otto, even what she had done earlier in the day - nothing mattered, not as long at Ludovic stayed near her.
She stumbled a bit as he pulled her, but caught herself against his body, grinning all the while. “How lucky you found me.” Her voice was low, and she pulled his head closer to her own, her lips dancing close to his. “It feels like it was all supposed to happen this way.”
It was all but fact that he would be taking someone home from the party, but he certainly never expected it to be Cassandra Wilkes. Perhaps Emmeline, or Emma and Marlene both, or someone he hardly knew. This, though, this was a surprise. He nodded, still feeling the heavy weight that clouded every thought in his head. He looked between her eyes, gaze starting there and making a heated trail down her body, but only after stopping to stare at her lips.
“It was supposed to happen this way.” He agreed, voice sounding harsh and emotional. He look at her for another moment longer, and then shoved his mouth against hers. He couldn’t help. They were standing so close, and this was exactly what he ought to be doing.

They worked well together, Emmeline thought, even though their attempt at a real relationship had failed dramatically. Maybe it would be best for them to not try that again for a while, as Ludo was leaving Hogwarts and Emmeline still had a year to go. “You’ve seen me running around naked enough.” She joked. Emmeline pushed the thoughts of the future away, only wanting to focus on the present. Emmeline started to tie her hair up, preparing herself for the bath. “Obviously, but you need to brush your teeth first.”
“Yes, yes.” Ludovic batted her order away, smiling as he pushed himself to his feet. There was a small roll through his stomach, but not so bad he couldn’t make the journey back to the castle. He held out his hand for her, then turning his gaze to the path ahead. “I wish I could just apparate up there.” The complaining tone of his voice was more than evident. “I don’t want to walk.”

Cassandra had barely had time to finish her first drink before her head was pounding - though it wasn’t because of the alcohol. No, this was different. She was very suddenly overcome by a need to find him - nothing else at the party really mattered anymore. She left her drink on a table, surely, she wouldn’t need it where she was going, and moved closer to a wall to survey the room.
Before she could get a good look, he was there, and a shiver went up her spine as he took her hands. “Mmm.” She smiled, moving her hands to rest on his shoulders, letting his fall near her waist. “Where have you been?”
Ludovic had never faced a situation like these, being this close to a girl his brother was with, once upon a time. All the girls Otto’s age were too old for Ludovic when they’d attended Hogwarts, and the girls Ludo’s age too young for Otto. It was nice, their ages lining up in such a way, but he supposed that had to end sometime. Today, apparently.
He couldn’t care, not even about Otto. Nothing mattered anymore, not Quidditch, not his friends, not Emmeline, not even his own freedom meant very much to him.
His fingers curled into her waist, grabbing the material of her clothing hard as he pulled her towards him. “Looking for you, silly.” He whispered, eyes flickering between hers. “This is strange, isn’t it?”

Emmeline laughed, her shoulders moving up and down as she chuckled. She turned, planting her lips on top of Ludovic’s head, giving it a kiss before facing forward once again. Emmeline could only imagine what kind of dare made Ludo sick - she often took stupid dares on herself. “I once streaked through the Quidditch pitch in November.” Emmeline murmured. “We’ve all been there.”
He hummed happily, smiling again. He loved that about her, how funny she could be, daring too. “I wish I could have been there to see it. You should do it again, just for me sometime.” He sighed softly, moving his hands to sit in her lap. Again, he could fall asleep like this. Turning his neck downwards, he pressed a light kiss to her shoulder, before sitting up. “You wanna take a bath with me? I know I stink.”

He couldn’t even remember why they were throwing the party anymore, only that he needed to find her. He often had a one track mind on the best of days, but this was just something else entirely. His head was so heady, so full of emotion, that he thought he would fall over from the weight of it all. There weren’t many words in his thoughts, only red and pictures of her face. He pushed his way through the guests, knocking snogging couples and all out of the way, until he found her by the wall.
He walked slowly, like he was in a trance, stopping in front of her. “Wow.” He said, reaching thoughtlessly for her hands and grabbing them in his. “Look at you.” @cassandrawilkes

Emmeline nodded, her nose wrinkling in disgust as she realized the pungent smell she’d noticed was coming from him. Her skin tingled as he buried his head in her neck - Emmeline thanked Merlin she had showered earlier in the day. “You do stink,” She agreed. She was quiet for a few seconds, then asked again. “But, really, what could have made you so sick?”
Ludovic stayed quiet for a moment, enjoying the comfort and dark that came with hiding his face in her neck. He didn’t want to move, and reckoned he could easily fall asleep like this. “Unggg.” He groaned, finally lifting his head up again, enough to rest it on her shoulder once more. “I took a stupid dare, if you want the truth.”
WHO: Alecto Carrow & Anyone. WHEN: Friday, March 15th, 1978. 8:34am. WHERE: Corridor to Great Hall.
A small smirk upon her lips as her wand twisted in her fingers, she watched as a younger year flinched with her eyes landing upon them. “Oh don’t be frightened little one, I won’t do much harm.” She cooed as she stepped closer towards them, reaching out a hand as an invitation.
Ludovic rounded the corner and nearly turned around the other way when he spotted Alecto Carrow bothering some poor sod in the corner. He wasn’t one to be brave or to look out for the safety of others, and would have happily left, but then the poor second year looked him in the eye, a request for help written clearly in their eyes. He grimaced, and pulled a cigarette from his pocket, bringing it to his mouth. He’d just lit it when he stopped in front of her. The second year wasted no time in dashing off, grateful for Ludovic’s distraction. “Hey, Carrow.” He said casually, more casually than he felt. “Bothering little ones again?”

She liked it when he leaned on her - they felt like puzzle pieces that fit together perfectly. Emmeline’s hand traveled up Ludo’s back and landed on the back of his head, as she played with the strands of hair. She groaned, “But why?” Emmeline whined. “I’ve seen you do it in worse conditions.”
Ludovic laughed, enjoying knowing that she wanted him so badly. His ego hummed happily, and in response, he leaned against her even more, seeking whatever affection she was willing to give. “In worse conditions, yes, but not the vomit sort of conditions.” He turned his head in towards her, burying it in her neck. He inhaled deeply and spoke, voice muffled by her skin. “You smell too good to stink you up with my puke.”

“Mm,” Emmeline hummed, not wanting to give away that she had, in fact, gone looking for him. She fiddled with the edge of her sweater, staying quiet for a moment. “Yeah, I was.” She said, sheepishly. “I can’t help it, I really like talking to you again. And the other stuff we do, as well.”
He wasn’t sure if she really had really been looking for him when he asked her the question, but getting the confirmation was nice. He scooted closer to her, leaning to his side so that he could prop his head against her shoulder. “Well I’m glad you’re here. I like it too.” He murmured gently, reaching out a hand and resting his on her knee. “But if you’re looking for a shag, you’re going to have to find one of your backups. I’m not feeling up to it.”

She was happy to see Ludovic hurry past everyone else and come to her directly. Flo always found it entertaining to talk to him, and she never felt like he was secretly making fun of her, like she assumed everyone else did. The corners of her lips turned up as she smiled at him. “Ludo,” She began, taking his question into serious consideration by pausing for a second. “Not at all. We would just be dancing on the field before the game, but we can practice anywhere!”
Hm, well if it wouldn’t interfere with Quidditch practices and it would give him a chance to hype himself and the crowd before a game... he didn’t see the problem with joining.
“Okay, great. When are auditions? And is there anything I need to know beforehand?”

Emmeline’s smile faded as she worriedly stroked Ludovic’s back. She softly spoke, wondering what could be making Ludo feel so sick. “Water? Alcohol?” She sat down and crossed her legs, making herself comfortable beside him. “I can sneak you a lemon from the kitchens?” She offered.
It wasn’t entirely the truth that Ludo hadn’t done anything, but he didn’t think Emmeline would appreciate hearing that he accepted a dare to drink an entire cauldron full of melted chocolate frogs and then fly upside around the pitch as fast as he could.
“I just... need to let my stomach settle, is all.” He murmured, lifting a hand to wipe sweat from his forehead. “What are you doing out here?” He asked, gesturing to the broomshed just a few feet away. “Looking for me?”
WHERE: The Great Hall WHEN: Lunchtime, March 20th
Flo placed a hand on her back, and another on her stomach. The recent news had shocked her, though she should have seen it coming, what with the lack of protection she and Amos had used. She assumed that her belly would start growing soon - but Flo had plans for this year, and it would be difficult to follow through with a baby developing inside her. She figured, she had to get started right away. Flo clambered up onto the long table, those sitting beside her staring up at her, aghast. “Sonorus,” she tapped the side of her mouth with her wand. “HOGWARTS - I HAVE DECIDED TO CREATE A QUIDDITCH DANCE TEAM TO UPLIFT OUR SPIRITS! PLEASE COME FIND ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO AUDITION.” She patted the sides of her skirt and stepped off the table, sitting back down.
There was grease on the corners of his lip, courtesy of a leg of turkey held tightly beneath his curled fist. It was another lunchtime at Hogwarts, and seeing as how he’d skipped his previous class to run off with another of his mates to smoke, he was quite hungry. He was interrupted from his munching by the sight of Flo at the Hufflepuff table, climbing onto the surface.
As he listened, a single eyebrow raised. He was interested. He dropped his leg of turkey onto his plate, used the sleeve of his robes to wipe the grease from his face, and then stood up. There was a trickle of other students approaching her, but Ludovic pushed past them all until he was standing in front of her.
“Hey, Flo.” He greeted, smiling. “How much do you think this would interfere with Quidditch practice?”

Emmeline snorted, placing a hand on Ludovic’s back. “Is that a first for you, then?” She crouched down next to him. “But, really, what have you done now?”
He didn’t answer, closing his eyes to take a steadying breath. He leaned closer to her when she down down on his level. “Nothing.” He answered, sounding somewhat defensive. “I didn’t do anything, I’m just not feeling well.”

“Are you pregnant?”
Ludovic laughed, lifting up from his hunched position to look at Emmeline. “No,” He answered, giving her a lopsided smile. “He used protection.”
“Dropped it?” Antonin looked positively blasé at the words. “Too bad. I’m keeping it.”
Ludovic glanced down, and then back up to meet Dolohov’s eyes. “Well, if all you want is a pack of papers with no herb to put inside of it, be my guest. But---” He grinned. “---if you’d like something to put inside, I could be persuaded to give it to you. For the right price, of course.”

Some might consider it rude the way Ludovic Bagman made his way into Edward Bones’s private office without an invitation to do so, but Edward could hardly bring himself to feel anything remotely akin to anger. Truth be told, he’d grown fond of Susan Bagman’s son in his time at Hogwarts. He was a troublemaker, no doubt about it, but he was a far cry from a bad kid. Edward could see the tell-tale signs of the affect a lack of parental authority had in his life and Edward made a mental note to pay Susan a visit when he returned to the Ministry. It might be late for Ludovic to have that authority figure in his life, but perhaps he would do well with a closer relationship with his mother.
“Very well, thank you for asking, Ludovic.” Edward greeted with a grin, folding his hands on his desk and leaning forward. “How are you?” His question might have been asked with a hint of mirth, but that didn’t mean Edward did not find himself genuinely concerned with Ludovic’s answer. He was aware that Ludovic had experienced his fair share of hardships and doubts this year, and when they had spoken all of those months ago, it seemed he was rather defeated by it all. Edward was glad to see he seemed in much higher spirits now.
Well, he was certainly doing better than he had been all those months ago. But even so, a lot had also changed since then. He and Emmeline had broken up, recruiters had reached out to him, and the last Quidditch game of his Hogwarts career was approaching ever closely. Hell, he had almost died back in January. Sometimes, it startled him to remember that. Then, it startled him even more that he forgot. Running a hand through his hair, Ludovic crossed the room and pulled a seat back. “I guess I’m doing alright.” He answered as he settled down in the seat.
That was mostly the truth. He’d had a lot on his mind, especially in the past month. He scratched at the side of his trousers, before looking up to meet Mr. Bones’ eyes. “I, uh, heard you were leaving later today. Amelia mentioned it to me at breakfast.”
