Inho’s hand

That scene was heart breaking yes. And I wished they hadn’t cut so many important scenes from the webtoon that would explain Jung’s actions more and not make him appear to be the heartless bastard you all seem to be thinking he was in that scene.

First, let me just say that what we saw about the hand incident is NOT all that happened, the writers left room open for misunderstanding on purpose, and after six years of the manhwa it’s still hasn’t been cleared up, so remember that there is still a lot we don’t know.

Secondly, this fight, Inho getting beat up like this..it’s not the first time it’s happened. Inho is obviously reckless and gets into fights often. There was a scene like this where it was Inho versus a whole bunch of guys. Jung sat on the curb watching Inho, but not interfering. Why? 1) Because he thinks Inho can handle it himself and 2) because Inho tells him not to, because his father would find out. But when it gets bad, when it’s clear that Inho will actually get hurt, Jung joins in despite Inho telling him not to. Why? Because he cares. Because Inho’s his best friend and he’s not about to let him get hurt.

After this, the blame for the incident is out on Jung’s shoulders, he started the fight, he’s a bad influence to Inho, it was his fault, by his dad. Jung obviously knew it would end up this way, with him the villain with him alone, but he did it because it was Inho and no one else.

The more you care for someone, the more it hurts when they betray you. Inho wasn’t just anyone. He was a real brother to Jung, he was the only person to understand him. The more you hate them, the more that pain consumes you. That’s not an excuse for Jung walking away like that. Damn, that was cold. But he didn’t cause the incident, that I am sure of from the webtoon, and I hope the drama keeps it that way. He witnessed Inho’s hand being broken. Just like he witnessed that fight. The difference there is that this time he does nothing, he dissociates himself completely from the person he cared so much about as if they were never friends in the first place.
