Do you guys usually go and see them? I totally understand that, especially if it’s one of those insanely long flights. My dog Mongryong hasn’t ever flown with me before, but if he did, he’d just be chill since he’s a little old now – Chanyeol’s dogs are tiny and feisty so they’d be troublemakers, that’s for sure. How long is your family staying with you guys?

We try to go back and forth. We’ll go to them one year and the next they’ll come to us. It’s what seems to work the best. Petunia has flown one time, that’s it. she just hates it and all but freaks out. They’re leaving tomorrow to head back home. My brothers have to get back to work and so do my parents.

just a couple days late on this one, so … oops. how did the holidays end up going? did you find a gift for your husband? i’m dying to hear how this story ends. i ended up going to visit family. slipped into a food coma as one does around christmas time, so i’m living my best life.

The holidays ended up going really well for me. I found some great things for my husband, and we pretty much just spent the holiday together which is what I really wanted. I think we spent most of the time working on our marriage which happened to be just a little rocky. I felt you with that food coma, I slipped into one myself, it was pretty great. I’m glad to hear you had a good holiday!

It makes sure everyone gets a lot and I love that. Like I don’t need anything. I’d rather you get my kids something or donate in my name. But I do the same if I’m out and see something it’s always for a birthday or Christmas.

I think the only person I buy a lot for when it comes to the holidays is my husband, other than that I just get a small amount of things for everyone else. How was your Christmas though?

It’s clear that you’ve been busy all this time! I don’t think it makes you a bad husband to have taken too long to get him a present - trust me, I did everything in the last minute. I got to spend the holidays with my family, and that’s always fun. Did you all have a good time?

So glad to hear you had a good holiday. Mine was pretty great, we had family come in so it was so good to see them again, and me and my husband had a chance to get a lot closer than we had been, we spent time just working on us so I think it’s safe to say my holiday was perfect.

Tell me about it, honestly. My boyfriend and I usually just travel to see both our families since they’re only about an hour away at most which makes it easier. Just traveling with my dog and his two is the only struggle we really have. Of course it doesn’t! I mean, I’m still waiting on some stuff I ordered for people to come in, if that makes you feel any better.

I am happy that our families are coming to see us this year, it’s just a hassle to have to fly to Australia for us because I have to take my dog and she really doesn’t like being on flights, so my mum saved me a lot of trouble. It does make me feel a little better, but I hope everything you’ve ordered comes in time!

That sounds like it would be a cozy Christmas, right? It doesn’t make you a terrible husband, no–but maybe just a procrastinator? Being a procrastinator doesn’t make you a bad person by any means. I’ve only decorated my place and I’ll be alone. I still have to finish up some last minute Christmas, but it seems like mine would be nice and quiet. I believe I am visiting someone after Christmas, but it’d be a nice relaxing day for me. I am probably going to watch ELF and eat a bunch of cookies.

it is turning out to be a cozy Christmas. I have my family, I have my husband and it is absolutely amazing so far. I am a procrastinator, and majorly. I did finally get my husband a gift so progress on that front. If you don’t want to be alone for the holiday, you are more than welcome to join us. Oh god! That reminded me that I have to try to convince my husband to watch ELF with me on a constant loop tomorrow.

yeah we’re already back home, our parents just arrived so it’s been pretty crazy and loud around here but it’s a very welcomed sound. It’s okay, I wouldn’t want you to tell me, I’m starting to like the surprises when it comes to him. You don’t have to thank us for coming. I wouldn’t have missed any of that for the world. You had such a beautiful wedding, you both deserve this. Being at your wedding was almost therapeutic for Ashton and I, we had a chance to reconnect and I couldn’t be happier.

It’s been crazy for me too, since I tend to buy a lot for everyone. Over like me saying each person gets a family gifto r two. I get a person two or three gifts and each of my kids too for most people. Like I know my two year old and three month old cant really buy things and have no idea whats going on but I love it.

Oh I think that is something I would do if I had kids. Just start buying gifts for everyone and saying that they’re from my children. I waited a long time to shop for my Christmas gifts this year, usually I’m getting them throughout the year.

I know, but I never seen snow. I love the big yellow ball, but it’s snow. I can’t live in snow, but I can like it for a week. I’ll sing as much as I know. You have it memorized, but I’m a little less Frozen and a little more Shrek. We are going to be late though, so hurry. Get warm stuff on and let’s go.

The big yellow ball in the sky is my God. You- you were born in Australia too, how the hell are you so into the snow? I’ll give you tonight, just because we;ve been working on fixing out marriage and this trip has been incredible for us in that aspect. I feel so much closer to you. You actually pull me closer to you when we sleep and you haven’t done that in a long time. So I can brave the cold icy abyss for you and the snowman but we have to name him Olaf 2 and you have to sing Do you Wanna Build a Snowman that’s the only way this happens.

Yes, we’ve been to cold places, but this is Aspen and it’s the middle of winter Ashton. It’s freezing out there. That’s exactly it, and what I have planned is a surprise, but it’s a cool surprise. Harry might have given me some advice for the idea at the reception. So just go with it and you will love it.
