I’ve been feeling very Brian Moser lately… the curse of being the older sister to a little brother who went through the same trauma you did. Except he found a way to let his pain exist in the open, while mine has been eating me alive since I was a child. My parents were always more attentive to his needs because he was suffering so visibly. And can I really blame them? I don’t think I can. They already had enough on their shoulders. I protect him in my own way, too. So I learned to adjust instead. No one really knows how much I’m hurting. And there’s something strangely beautiful about that, too. Maybe it’s the Libra in me, always finding beauty where there never really was any. Everyone’s happier when I’m quiet, smiling, easy to love, taking up as little space as possible. They’ll love me even more if I lie!
