shyness floods through daxton, her bright blue eyes averting her gaze downwards as the redness of her cheeks increases. truth be told, daxton hadnโt been feeling too great about herself. her confidence was a FLEETING thing, a fickle piece of her that could never be changed. but this small encounter helps to boost her dwindling ego, which was never a bad thing. itโs been some time since sheโs been complimented by a stranger, most of the nice things she hears about herself now are from even.
the compliment is taken lightly, but it made the inside of daxtonโs stomach FLUTTER. โ oh, um, thank you v-very muchโฆ โ daxton trails off nervously, moving back to collect her things off of the top of the piano. once her cheeks are being talked about, daxton instantly reaches up to touch them by instinct, feeling the heat radiating from them. being a shy blusher in the summer was NEVER great, that daxton always knew. โ i um, i wear a s-small bit of blush but i didnโt put on much today. iโm not โ uh, really a m-makeup person. thank you, thatโs very s-sweet. nobody has ever complimented my rosacea before. โ the womanโs next action earns the strangest feeling to rip through daxton. her stomach practically EXPLODES, like fireworks are settling inside of her and itโs the fourth of july. if it were possible, her flush deepens and she has to refrain from giggling like a fool. โ unless youโre h-here to learn piano or pick up your child then i think youโre right. โ itโs said with a laugh before she listens intently, trying to remember if thereโs a coffee shop nearby. daxton had been travelling so much that so many places had begun to get MIXED up in her mind. the girl goes to respond, but instantly stops once the other woman changes her mind. daxton moves her attention to the piano now, as well, a smile oozing fondness gracing her expression. โ isnโt it ? it was a gift from the people who own this p-place. iโve got one of my own at home. d-do you play ? โ
A BRIGHT SMILE, SKIN WRINKLING AT THE CORNERS OF HER EYES, and she makes a circle around the piano before sitting on the bench. ย โ ย they must be very generous people.โ ย or she must be a very special person ย ( ย she figures itโs both ย ). ย fingers press to ivory, reveling in the texture, the cool feeling against her skin. it makes her hum, shoulders lifting as she takes in an deep, relaxed breath ; in through the nose, out through the mouth. ย โ ย you must really like the piano to have so many.โ ย the truly big ones, the ones you would find in a mansion, they definitely arenโt easy instruments to get a hold of. this looks like something of pure royalty, so she can only imagine how beautiful the one at her house must match. ย โ ย oh, no. i was never taught.โ ย never offered, either. maybe if she wasnโt created in adulthood and actually had a familyย and a childhood, she would have. she thinks sheโd quite like it.
ย ย ย ย ย ย in fact, ย ย โ ย donโt suppose you could teach me a few things?โ ย she hopes sheโll do it for free, but she doesย have some money in her pocket. itโs about one hundred dollars, maybe a little bit over that. the money she makes from work she keeps at home in a veryย guarded safe. ย โ ย it would be a lovely thing to put in my repertoire.โ ย could even help in some instances where she needs to blend in. she remembers that one event for one of the umbrella scientists -- a masquerade. oh, it was absolutely to die forย ; it would have been nice to be able to find herself a seat and play some keys. the piano was in the middle of the room, she could keep an eye on the target. ย it would have been perfect. ย still, she pulled it off without a hitch. ย โ ย one of my dear friends, michael -- he can play a meanย violin.โ ย a pause. ย โ ย i doubt he had such a beautiful instructor, though.โ
