wolfstar flat is full of stuff. sirius brings random items home constantly: records he found at the thrift, rocks from people’s gardens, little toys or knickknacks from shops or his friends’ places, borrowed sweaters and notes all over the place

remus carefully curates every item he brings, but his standards are 1) do i like this? 2) will padfoot like this? and the answer is usually yes

there are records and books everywhere

remus has a teacup and mug collection, they are stacked up dangerously in the cupboard and threaten to topple over whenever anyone opens the cabinet door. (his favorite is dark blue and says “#1 dad”)

they have the perfect messy aesthetic, warm lights and the surfaces of all their dark wood secondhand well-loved furniture is covered in items that represent the adventure it is to know and love another.

Sirius, Peter and James watching Remus’s reactions whenever they come across something new in the Muggle world that they don’t quite understand, in the same way that toddlers look at their parents when they experience something new, to see what emotion they should be expressing.

Head canon that Regulus's birthday is a mystery to everyone except Sirius, who obviously knows his own brothers birthday but Regulus once said "I bet you can't keep a single secret" and Sirius said "oh, yes I can. Name one thing you think I can't keep a secret." And Regulus (who always hated his birthday) looked around, at their current-recently-run-away situation which meant no one really knew anything about him besides Sirius and said "my birthday." And now Sirius refuses to tell anyone Regulus's birthday just to prove his annoying little brother wrong.

I love to see Remus's POV and that he is painfully pinning for Sirius convinced someone as beautiful and special as him would never look at him that way and give him a chance that he is just lucky to be his friend.

Then we switch to Sirius's POV and we discovered he was secretly in love with Remus's this whole time. Even deeper, like Sirius is obsessed with him. He worships Remus. And he pines harder. But he was too good to hide it or Remus is too oblivious to notice.

Sirius unknowingly makes doing his hair a whole production but not usual in the fun, teenaged im gonna be the prettiest princess at the party way.
