“Says the cast out angel to the demon. I don’t see you being able to just swoop up to heaven whenever you please, that must sting even your nerves.” Paxon points out knowing any angel would be pissy about it. “Oh don’t patronize me, Lucius. I’m no younger than you and was just as much of an angel as you. I just wised up, I saw His flaws just as I saw the flaws of the system you and the rest of you angels exist by.” He had his eyes opened to the truth and since then he didn’t look back, he cut his own wings just to keep from looking back. “To live as I wish, if humanity gets freewill why don’t the rest of us? I spent too long following orders without a thought.”
He’s a little phased by his comment; well actually no, not a little, quite a bit. He feels anger and shame at being reminded of that. Not at Paxon, but rather at himself. He grits his teeth, tilting his head. “Most people learn from their mistakes. What are you trying to accomplish?” He raised an eyebrow, shaking his head once. “As I said before, I wouldn’t expect a demon to understand. Especially one who fell with Lucifer.” He shrugged. “You weren’t born to be an angel. I suppose even God can make mistakes. After all, there is no such thing as perfection.”
