To visit Planet Earth, you will have to be born as a human child. At first, you will have to learn to use your new body, to move your arms and legs, to pull yourself upright. You will learn to walk and run, to use your hands, to make sounds, and form words. Slowly, you will learn to take care of yourself. Here, it is still and peaceful, but there, the colors, sensations, and sounds will wash over you constantly. You will see so many living things, plants, and animals, beyond imagining. Here, it is always the same, but there, everything is in motion, everything is always changing. You will be plunged into Earth’s river of time; there will be so much for you to learn, and so much for you to feel: pleasure and fear, joy and disappointment, sadness and wonder. In your confusion and delight, you will forget where you came from. You will grow up, travel, and work. Perhaps you’ll have children even grandchildren of your own. Over the years, you will try to make sense of that happy, sad, full, empty always-shifting life you’re in. And when the time comes to return to your star, it may be hard to say goodbye to that strangely beautiful world.

This week i baked for the first time after a while. I'm usually more of a cook than a baker, but i wanted to take on a challenge and i'm pretty happy with the result.

This cake is called "Moist oreo pound cake". A simple recipe that anyone can make.

The original version had a frosting, but i ran out of oreos so i decided to skip it.

WIMJ (What's in my Journal)

I was kindly asked to show and explain how I use my journal and what I use it for.

This is an XL refillable leather journal by Paper Republic, in the color black.

The reason I bought this is that I carry many small notebooks with me and wanted to keep them safe in one place; that is why I decided to go for this one.

One mistake I made when ordering this journal was the size. Because I mostly use A5 notebooks, I bought the XL, but it isn't really designed to hold A5-sized inserts. If you are like me and also use A5, I would recommend buying the A5 size instead of the XL.

My Midori notebook sticks out a little bit, but for me, that is not a huge problem. You can easily insert a B6 notebook, and it won't stick out.

It has been two weeks since it arrived, and I am really enjoying using it. I ordered some extra ribbons so that I can add the rest of the small notebooks I usually carry. That is why I haven't filled the journal as much as I plan to yet. I will definitely post an update in the future.

Inside, I have an A5 sized PVC card organizer. It's really practical to have such a card holder because I can easily carry around cash, cards, stickers, and other useful things.

The first journal is a commonplace book that I started back in 2025 and haven't finished yet (I still have over 170 pages left to fill...).

I like the idea of having a journal like this because I can easily jot down things I want to remember without any chronological order.

On the first page, I have a key list for specific topics that I always mark down whenever I start a fresh page.

The second book I carry with me is a quote journal.

It's still empty because I haven't had the time to sit down and read any books lately, but I want to have a separate journal to write down quotes from the books I am reading.

As soon as the ribbons arrive, I plan to also insert my daily planner and my thoughts journal.

At the end, there is a large insert for storing bigger items. In there, I’ve put my Tame Impala concert ticket, a birthday card that I cherish dearly, and a postcard I got from the Tyler the Creator concert.

I think the contents of this insert will change depending on what's going on in my life. I’m looking forward to seeing how it evolves over time.

Exploring a different side of me

I want to use social media a little differently.

For a while, I thought about disappearing from social media completely. But then I wondered: why not just use it in a way that feels right for me instead?

I wanted a space where I could just exist, share my thoughts, talk about things I'm interested in, and maybe even meet some like-minded people along the way.

I actually started blogging a little bit last year on Naver, a Korean blogging platform. I only posted monthly recaps, but I really enjoyed the process. There was something nice about sitting down at the end of each month and reflecting on everything that had happened.

Over the years, I've realized how much time I spent comparing myself to other people online. I always felt like there was a certain standard I had to live up to, and it took me a long time to step away from that mindset.

These days, I'm more interested in figuring out who I am without all that noise.

That's partly why I wanted to start this blog. I want to document things as they happen—my thoughts, interests, experiences, and whatever else ends up here. Not because I think anyone will find it particularly important, but because I think it'll be nice to look back on in a few years.

So, here we are.

I'm not entirely sure what this blog will become yet, and honestly, I kind of like it that way.

Also one of my favorite songs, to get to know me a little better :)
