Miguel Oliveira Jr., sócio da ABRALIN, possui Doutorado em Linguística pela Universidade Simon Fraser (2000). Realizou estágio de Pós-Doutoramento no Massachusetts Institute of Technology e na University of California (2017). Trabalha como professor adjunto de Linguística na Universidade Federal de Alagoas (UFAL) e é atualmente presidente da Associação Brasileira de Linguística (ABRALIN). Atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: fonética experimental, psicolinguística, psicologia cognitiva e documentação linguística. Coordena o projeto: “O papel da prosódia no processamento da estrutura do discurso em língua portuguesa”, financiado pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico.
